Earth Day Expo returns to the Reuse Centre |
April 23, 2025
With spring cleaning season returning to Edmonton, the Reuse Centre is hosting its second annual Earth Day Expo to share more about how unwanted items can find a new life.
To recognize the important role reuse has in reducing our environmental footprint, Edmontonians are invited to come to the Reuse Centre to experience the Earth Day Expo.
Date: Saturday, April 26
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: Reuse Centre, 6835 83 Street NW
The Earth Day Expo offers a platform for vendors and organizations to showcase eco-friendly products and services that reduce waste. By promoting sustainable initiatives and demonstrating how to give items a new life through reuse, the expo gives Edmontonians an opportunity to purchase environmentally responsible products and learn about how reuse keeps useful items out of the landfill.
Before visiting the expo, residents are encouraged to check the Reuse Directory for items that could be donated from spring cleaning activities.
The Reuse Centre keeps tonnes of waste out of landfills every month, with the highest month on record reaching 32 tonnes. Since opening, the centre has helped recirculate 2,841 tonnes of material back into the community. The Reuse Centre currently accepts about 230 different items, including canning jars, egg cartons, packing material and much more.
