Media are invited to join representatives from the City of Edmonton, including Park Rangers, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services and Edmonton Police Services, to hear about river safety and what to expect on the water this summer.

There will be formal speeches from Zain Haji, Park Ranger Peace Officer Marine Unit, City of Edmonton, Joe Spear, Constable, Disaster and Emergency Operations, Edmonton Police Service and Jamie Amiel, Assistant Deputy Chief, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services. Media are invited to go on a boat to capture photo or video footage of rescue demonstrations and safety compliance inspections.
Signs will be posted at the top of the boat launch; please feel free to make your way past.
