Yesterday, the City of Edmonton and Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 569 reached a tentative agreement following months of negotiations.
The next step is for ATU to hold a ratification vote with its members. Out of respect for this process, we will not be providing further details until the ratification process is complete.
Both parties are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement that balances the needs of Edmonton transit workers while considering the sustainability of City finances.
The City has achieved three new multi-year agreements since March, making this the fourth agreement we aim to ratify in 2025.
