AVZ starts trading on North American OTCQX market
Congolese focused battery metals explorer, AVZ Minerals, is now a dual listed company after its shares commenced trading on the United States OTCQX Financial Market. The company says the listing will help it capitalise on growing US interest in its majority-owned Manono lithium and tin project. OTCQX is the world’s largest market for over-the-counter securities.

White Cliff kicks off Reedy South gold drilling program
ASX-listed explorer White Cliff Minerals has kicked off its first pass drilling program at the company’s Cracker Jack prospect, which is part of its Reedy South gold project in the lucrative Meekatharra-Cue goldfields of WA. The work is part of a 74 hole, 4,440 metre shallow RC drilling campaign across both the Cracker Jack and McCaskill Hill prospects.

Antilles amasses grab bag of high-grade Cuban gold hits
Cuban gold developer, Antilles Gold, has racked up a series of high-grade gold hits at its La Demajagua gold and silver deposit on the Isle of Youth in southwest Cuba, confirming the widespread gold endowment of the region. Significant gold and silver intercepts from the 24 holes drilled recently include an 8m section grading 4.17 g/t gold and 36.28 g/t silver from 10m downhole.

Castle locks away 2022 exploration funds
Battery metals and gold explorer Castle Minerals has boosted its war chest this week after a heavily oversubscribed $3.6 million placement with the market responding positively, pushing its stock above $0.04. The gains represent a 25 per cent uplift for investors who took up the $0.03 offer and follow an earlier September raise of $1.5 million at $0.012.

High grade Kimberley copper-gold results for Askari
Perth based Askari Metals has tabled a series of high-grade copper and gold results from a second round of rock chip sampling at its Horry copper project in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Results from the recent sampling include a surface rock chip grading an impressive 8.5 per cent copper with 0.71 grams per tonne gold and 42 g/t silver.

KalGold lines up drill targets in under-explored WA tenure
ASX-listed Kalgoorlie Gold Mining has begun assessing drill targets over its highly prospective but vastly under-explored Pinjin and Ninga Mia gold projects in Western Australia’s Goldfields. The Pinjin project occupies prime real estate along strike from Ramelius Resources’ Lake Rebecca project and Ninga Mia is no slouch either sitting adjacent to Kalgoorlie’s revered super pit.

West Australian-based explorer Kairos Minerals has unveiled a promising new greenfields gold target at its wholly owned 873,500 ounces Mt York gold project in WA’s Pilbara region. Following on from a recent 15,000m drilling blitz at Mt York, Kairos continues to probe the prospectivity of its extensive Pilbara tenure with results from the latest surface geochemical program throwing out values up to 4.6 g/t gold.

Hot Chili boosts Chilean copper-gold potential
Copper developer Hot Chili continues to pump out some stellar drill results from its Cortadera copper-gold porphyry deposit in Chile as the company expands the shallow resources at its Cuerpo 1 and Cuerpo 2 deposits. Recent assay results include a massive 156 metre hit grading 0.4 per cent copper equivalent from surface that corresponds to 0.4 per cent copper and 0.1 grams per tonne gold.

Maximus spots visible gold in Kambalda drill core
Junior explorer Maximus Resources has unveiled a new high-grade gold zone approximately 300 metres below its known Redback gold resource at the company’s Wattle Dam project. The project sits approximately 24 kilometres from the prolific gold and nickel mining region of Kambalda in WA. Recent assays confirm the new ‘Western Contact’ target area gave up high-grade hits up to a commendable 21.3 g/t gold.

ADX confirms two fertile zones in Austrian oil find
European-based oil and gas producer ADX Energy has confirmed its Austrian Anshof-3 well would now be completed bringing its Eocene oil discovery and shallower Miocene gas discovery into production.  Electric logs suggest there are between 2.5-4 metres of productive oil and 14m of productive gas in the well. The move comes just 12 months after the company received its exploration permits.

Torian uncovers rare earth play in WA
Junior gold explorer, Torian Resources looks set to add rare-earth metals to its arsenal with the discovery of a significant Yttrium anomaly at its Mt Stirling project in WA’s Eastern Goldfields. A broad one kilometre anomaly has been uncovered at the project with peak values up to 521 parts per million of Yttrium. The critically listed rare earth metal is used in renewable technologies including electric vehicles.

Ardea unearths new nickel-copper target near Kalgoorlie
Battery metal developer, Ardea Resources has discovered a massive sulphide channel flow deposit at its Emu Lake project near Kalgoorlie in WA. Assay results from its third diamond drill hole hit high grade massive nickel sulphides driving the company’s share price up more than 50 per cent by the close of trade. Interestingly, drilling also cored through the basal channel contact and into an underlying felsic rock.

Test well delivers for Calima in Canada
A new play has opened up for Calima Energy after a successful test well  yielded the presence of its target Sunburst formation in a relatively underexplored region of its core Brooks project area in Canada.  The success of the stratigraphic test well may drive up to six follow-up horizontal wells to effectively drain the Sunburst formation.

Caeneus to relaunch US lithium hunt
With the lithium market heating up exponentially, Caeneus Minerals has abandoned its thoughts of potentially selling its lithium brine projects in Nevada USA in favour of further exploration. The projects are in North America’s only lithium brine producing region and the company says limited historical drilling points to the presence of lithium brines on its ground.

Great Southern onto high grade gold at Amy Clarke
Great Southern Mining has hit high grade gold at the Southern end of its Amy Clarke prospect in WA. Drilling intersections correlate with gold in soil anomalies and set the scene for a renewed hunt for grade at the Southern end of the prospect. The company says the fact that the high grade intersections were in bedrock suggests the source of the gold may be close by.

88 Energy sets February date for Merlin-2 well
Alaska-focused oil explorer 88 Energy has tipped a February spud date for its Merlin-2 well in the American state of Alaska, after announcing it has commissioned a rig, is building a snow road and is close to regulatory approval for the 8000-foot follow-up to 2021’s Merlin-1 oil discovery.
