Aeramentum set to weigh into EU battery metals markets
Aeramentum Resources has its hands on a treasure trove of old geological reports that point to historic occurrences of battery metals such as copper, nickel, cobalt and others across its ground on the island of Cyprus. The company will list its Cyprus assets on the ASX next month and will immediately set about applying modern exploration techniques to them with a view to immersing itself in the lucrative European electric vehicle markets.

Maiden Thailand lithium resource shows Pan Asia potential
With mineralisation at surface, open along strike and depth suited to open-cut mining, Pan Asia Metals says its prospect maiden mineral resource estimate is the outcome it was looking for. The company has announced a resource at the prospect in southern Thailand of 45,600 tonnes of lithium oxide or about 113,000t of lithium carbonate-equivalent that Pan Asia expects to increase after more drilling.

Great Southern lands wide, shallow WA gold hits 
Great Southern Mining’s aggressive exploration approach at its Southern Star prospect near Laverton appears to be paying off, reinforcing what the company says is shaping up to be a very sizeable gold deposit. The latest RC drilling program continues to return wide and shallow hits at the operation in WA’s Goldfields region including one 69m intersection going 1.1 grams per tonne from 39m.

Surefire wheels in more drill rigs across Mid West projects
Surefire Resources is keen to keep its drill bits spinning as it looks to bring in more rigs across the company’s gold, iron ore and vanadium projects in Western Australia. Having just wrapped up a round of RC drilling and a diamond hole at its gold and vanadium projects, Surefire is now lining up a rig for its iron ore venture.

Okapi starts diamond drilling for NSW gold
ASX-listed Okapi Resources has hit the go button on an 11-hole, 1800m diamond drilling campaign at its Sunnyside prospect, part of the larger Enmore gold project in northern NSW. The work is aimed at following up on a suite of “exceptional” hits scored in a maiden drilling campaign at the venture late last year.

New survey data boosts 88 Energy oil play
88 Energy has inked a licensing agreement with SAExploration that will see the explorer pick up a raft of 3D seismic data from a significant parcel of land at its Icewine East oil project on Alaska’s North Slope. The company says newly acquired surveys stretch from Pantheon Resources’ nearby acreage onto Icewine and covers a number of reservoir units that could host hydrocarbons.

Reedy Lagoon unearths more gold in WA Wheatbelt
Junior multi-commodity explorer Reedy Lagoon has been again rewarded for its exploration in WA’s Wheatbelt, with soil sampling returning more gold anomalies at its Burracoppin project. The discoveries come on the back of gold anomalies found last year, with a new area of interest also uncovered. The market appeared to like the news, sending its share price higher by as much as 35 per cent during intraday trading.

NT drilling brings high-grade gold for King River
King River Resources has returned high-grade results from RC drilling at its Tennant Creek gold project in the Northern Territory, including one hole recording a one metre intersection going 35.26 grams per tonne. A total of 34 holes were drilled at the project’s Kurundi Main prospect where rock chip samples returned multiple results between 10 and 17g/t gold along a previously undrilled 2km trend.

Askari targets untested anomalies in Wheatbelt gold chase
Junior explorer Askari Metals has completed a third phase of RC drilling at the company’s Burracoppin gold project in WA’s Wheatbelt region. The 40-hole 3639m campaign was targeting untested anomalies identified in earlier surveys and aimed to build on known gold mineralisation intersected in the previous two phases as the company looks to table a maiden mineral resource for the project.

A-Cap boosts stake in Wiluna nickel play
Wiluna Mining Corporation’s joint-venture partner, A-Cap Energy has raised its stake in their Wilconi nickel-cobalt project in WA from 20 to 55 per cent after sinking $5 million into the project as part of its phase 2 earn-in milestone. The transaction comes after its initial $500,000 cash payment to Wiluna and follows a major resource upgrade at their project.

Antilles closes in on million-ounce mark with Cuba gold-silver
ASX-listed Antilles Gold and its Cuban Government-owned joint venture partner GeoMinera have boosted their gold and silver resource estimate for its La Demajagua deposit in Cuba by a cracking 25 per cent. The resource estimate shows a 10.3 million tonne open-pit mining operation with an impressive average grade of 2.74 grams per tonne for 908,000 ounces of gold in addition to 29.3 g/t silver for 9.71 million ounces.

Drilling returns shallow, high-grade WA gold for Alto
New assay results from the Indomitable Camp resource, part of the larger Sandstone gold project, in the East Murchison Goldfields of WA, suggests Alto Metals has barely scratched the surface of the asset's existing resource. Some of the notable results include a 1m strike at 87.4 grams per tonne gold from 45m inside of a larger 29m intercept going 4.4 g/t gold from 29m.

International Graphite gets drill rods spinning in WA
International Graphite has the ball rolling on a 7000m RC and diamond drilling program at its newly acquired Springdale graphite deposit near Hopetoun in WA. The company already has its foot on more than 15 million tonnes of graphite at the operation and is looking to process it into a battery grade anode material at its plant in Collie.

Caeneus etches out Pilbara battery metals orebody
Caeneus Minerals has taken stock of the final assay results from its maiden RC drilling program at the Highway prospect at its Pardoo battery metals project in WA’s Pilbara province. The company is etching out a thick, shallow nickel-copper-cobalt deposit, with the latest assays returning 94m grading at 0.43 per cent nickel in addition to 115m at 0.16 per cent copper and 0.04 per cent cobalt from only 35m. Drilling is set to resume in August.

Latin tables stellar kaolin results from WA probe
Latin Resources has tabled a stunning set of kaolin results from infill drilling at its Cloud Nine kaolin-halloysite deposit near Merredin in WA. The company says its myriad of ultra-bright kaolinised granite has further highlighted the resource’s eminence with intersections including a 38m hit going 85.3 ISO brightness from 12m, 25 running 85.2 ISO-B from 17m and 21 at 85.2 ISO-B from 6m.
