Westgold pumps out 1000th gold bar amid record quarter |
Westgold Resources is quietly going from strength to strength as the WA-based mid-tier gold miner continues to break records and hit major milestones across its Murchison and Bryah mining operations. The company produced a record 72,597 ounces of gold at an all‐in sustaining cost of $1843 per ounce for the June quarter and finished the financial above its annual production guidance of 270,000 ounces. |

American West lands major Canadian copper discovery |
American West Metals’ share price jumped 40 per cent in opening trades after news the explorer had made a major new copper discovery at its Storm project on Somerset Island in Nunavut in Canada. The company says recent drilling intersected more than 68m of stratiform copper sulphide mineralisation that is indicative of a major system at depth. |

Latin tables bumper Brazilian lithium results in early tests |
First-pass metallurgical test work on spodumene-bearing pegmatite samples from Latin Resources’ Colina lithium prospect in Brazil has delivered recovery rates of more than 78 per cent lithium oxide. The program also returned a robust concentrate grade of up to 6.57 per cent lithium oxide using rudimentary heavy liquid separation processes. |

Xanadu targets shallow ore at second Mongolian project |
Xanadu Mines is kicking off a new exploration campaign at the company’s highly prospective Red Mountain project in the South Gobi region of Mongolia targeting shallow high-grade gold, silver and copper. A previous diamond and RC drill program at the site uncovered some impressive results at the site’s Bavuu and Diorite deposits with a number of hits from surface. |

Empire sustains strong gas output at Beetaloo well test |
Empire Energy’s extended production testing of its Carpentaria-2H well in the Northern Territory’s Beetaloo sub-basin continues to deliver strong gas flow with minimal decline. The ASX-listed oil and gas explorer and producer says the well is currently punching out a 13-day average of 2.6 million standard cubic feet of gas per day. |

St George wraps up copper-gold probe at Pilbara project |
Multi-element explorer St George Mining has wrapped up its maiden drill campaign after completing its three final drill holes at the company’s Paterson copper-gold project in WA’s Pilbara region. St George will now shift focus to its Mt Alexander nickel and copper project west of Leonora as it looks to drill a set of nickel, copper and PGE targets and collect rock chip samples from a pegmatite outcrop. |

Estrella gets double boost with assays and infrastructure |
Estrella Resources has been buoyed by more positive assay results and the bonus of additional key infrastructure as the company moves towards production at its Spargoville nickel project near Kambalda in WA’s Goldfields. Latest results from resource drilling below the Spargoville 5A deposit include a 6.8m hit going 4.4 per cent nickel from 66.2m including 1.76m at 10.21 per cent. |

Horizon chalks up quality gold hits at Kalgoorlie prospects |
ASX-listed gold producer Horizon Minerals has recorded a raft of encouraging intersections from an RC drilling campaign at its Honeyeater prospect, part of its Binduli gold project area about 5km west of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in WA’s Goldfields. The highlight was 1m at 68.04 grams per tonne gold from 74m, inside a larger 2m section going 34.85 g/t gold from the same depth. |

Antilles set to spin the drill bit at Cuban copper-gold projects |
Antilles Gold has outlined its plans for an expansive exploration campaign across its Cuban projects starting with a 2000m drill program at the company’s El Pilar copper-gold deposit due to start this week. The initial work will be followed by a 7000m core drilling program focusing on the upper gold domain and lower copper zones of the El Pilar oxide deposit from January next year. |

Hot Chili nets bumper copper hits in South America |
Mineral explorer Hot Chili has tabled a suite of bumper near-surface strikes at its Valentina copper-silver deposit, part of its larger Costa Fuego project in Chile, including 3m at 12.1 per cent copper equivalent from 29m down hole. The hit sat inside a larger 12 parcel running 4.6 per cent copper equivalent from 25m.

Accelerate strikes shallow manganese zone in Pilbara |
A maiden drill program by mineral explorer Accelerate Resources has discovered a new near-surface zone of thick manganese mineralisation at the company’s Woodie Woodie North project in WA’s Pilbara region. Preliminary results indicated the discovery hole intersected at least 74m of multiple zones of manganese enrichment before finishing in mineralisation. |

Superior spots 900m of visual copper in Qld campaign |
Superior Resources has spotted out visual copper mineralisation across the majority of a recently sunk 933m-plus diamond drill hole at its Bottletree copper prospect, part of its larger Greenvale project near Townsville in Queensland. The company believes it has its foot on a large-scale copper porphyry system at the project and is using the campaign to target the interpreted core. |

Blackstone ticks more boxes for Vietnam nickel project |
Blackstone Minerals has successfully ticked more boxes during its definitive feasibility phase of the company’s green nickel project in Vietnam. A raft of work has been completed including bench tests, design, procurement, assembly and commissioning of equipment in addition to successfully converting mixed hydroxide precipitate to metal sulphate. |
