Castle latches on to high-grade graphite hits in Ghana |
Battery metals explorer Castle Minerals has racked up a slew of graphite hits from the first 23 holes of a 52-hole program at its Kambale graphite deposit in Ghana. Headline results include 5m at 15.4 per cent total graphite content from 56m inside of a larger 29m parcel grading 11.8 per cent TGC from 47m. |

Goldfields samples light up rare earths for Venus
|
Soil and laterite sampling at Venus Metals’ Marvel Loch East project have returned “exceptional” results including one sample showing a remarkable 6092 parts-per-million total rare earth oxides. The Marvel Loch East rare earths project is located near Southern Cross in the Goldfields region of WA and comprises one granted exploration licence and an additional four applications for a total tenement area of 828 square kilometres. |

Classic showcases gold processing capability
|
After a pilot test run to assess the suitability of its plant to process ore from the company’s premier Kat Gap deposit, Classic Minerals’ Gekko processing plant has outperformed its expectations. The low-cost modular plant delivered more than 95 per cent of the liberated gold through a simple gravity process. After receiving approval for a tailings storage facility the company will now move to assemble its plant before commencing the processing of ore and finally the production of long awaited gold. |

Calidus targets increased production after maiden gold reserve
|
Gold producer Calidus Resources has unveiled its maiden reserve for its Blue Spec deposit in the East Pilbara and slated a final investment decision for its sulphide plant to process the gold for mid-2023. Blue Spec’s maiden reserve has been determined at 83,000 ounces at 11.4 grams per tonne gold, taking the company’s total resources to 600,000 ounces of gold. |

Kula onto airborne geophysical work at WA nickel-PGE-gold play

Mineral explorer Kula Gold will launch a pair of airborne geophysical surveys at its wholly owned Westonia nickel-PGE-gold project in WA’s Southern Cross region following on from its maiden drill program. The successful exploration campaign delivered a suite of anomalous hits and latest work will include a VTEM and magnetic survey. |

Torque rounds out drill campaign with gold zone growth
|
Torque Metals has extended the high-grade gold zone of its flagship Paris project by more than 900m after receiving the final results of its fourth phase of drilling at the site south-east of Kalgoorlie. The company says the latest results include the discovery of a shallow high-grade structure 300m east of the Paris pit with drilling recording a 12m section going 3.2 grams per tonne gold from 60m including a 3m hit at 10.40 g/t from 60m. |

Pilbara pit assays outline extensive iron ore for CZR |
Initial assays from extensional RC drilling at CZR Resources’ Robe Mesa iron ore project in WA’s Pilbara region have confirmed significant direct shipping ore mineralisation beneath the asset’s pre-feasibility study pit. The company says the material’s average grades of about 55.6 per cent iron align with its targeted production figures and reinforce its strategic plan to lift production and mine life once in operation. |

Triangle Energy gets deal done for Perth Basin oil and gas ground
|
Triangle Energy has completed the acquisition of two highly prospective oil and gas permits in WA’s Perth Basin from ASX-listed explorer Key Petroleum. The company previously held a major stake in both assets and mopped up the balance in exchange for $600,000 in cash and $500,000 in shares to be issued on or before June 30, 2023. |

Lanthanein restarts drill rig at Gascoyne rare earths project |
Lanthanein Resources has recommenced its maiden drilling campaign at the company’s Lyons rare earth elements project in WA’s Gascoyne region using a track-mounted rig to wrap up the remainder of the program. Earlier this month, the explorer completed 13 reasonably-accessible drill holes of the planned 30-hole-program using a wheel-mounted rig at prospect 11. With its capable rig now onsite the focus of the program will move to prospects 12 and 13. |

OD6 hits shallow clay in Esperance rare earths probe
|
The early signs look good for explorer OD6 Metals with its latest air-core drilling program at its Splinter Rock rare earths project unveiling broad intervals of near-surface clay near Esperance in WA’s south. If the zones prove to be mineralised the company could have taken a big step towards a successful mining operation and all eyes will now be on assay results from the 179-hole, 5862m campaign that are expected to start rolling in later this month. |
