Valor unearths spectacular grade uranium-copper rock chips
|
ASX-listed explorer Valor Resources has snared a suite of uber-impressive grade rock chips grading up to 6.13 per cent uranium oxide and an eye-catching 61.7 per cent copper at its Surprise Creek project in Canada. Legacy drilling at the tenure returned several compelling uranium intercepts, including 2.1m at 4.37 per cent from 57m, indicating the surface results could be just the tip of the iceberg. |

Askari pulls ounce to the tonne gold sample from old workings
|
Askari Metals has unearthed a suite of minerals from reconnaissance field work at its Springdale project in NSW including rock samples showing grades of up to an ounce to the tonne gold. The company has also identified the potential for rare earths and base metals mineralisation in addition to significant levels of cobalt and manganese near historical workings at the site. |

Noronex adds more Namibian copper hits to repertoire |
Mineral explorer Noronex has completed a further two holes at its flagship Witvlei copper project in Namibia’s highly prospective Kalahari copper belt. Significant results from one hole include 3m at 2.2 per cent copper from 250m and 6m at 0.8 per cent from 261m. The other hole – less than 100m south-west ¬ – delivered 3m at 1.3 per cent copper from 158m. |

Lindian secures rig for African rare earths probe
|
Lindian Resources is set to embark on a 12,500m resource definition drilling program at the company’s brand new Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi after enlisting a rig to roll in later this month. The drilling is designed to probe the project’s historic resource and an extensive area of surface mineralisation measuring 650m-long by 400m-wide. |

Latin eyes offtake agreement after kaolin test pit work
|
Latin Resources could soon lock in an offtake agreement for its WA-sourced kaolin after excavating a test pit and dispatching a batch of bulk sample material to a pair of potential customers. The work forms part of a more extensive trial mining operation at its Cloud Nine deposit – an asset it says is amongst the largest underdeveloped halloysite-kaolin plays in the country. |

Twenty Seven Co locks up Mid West lithium lease
|
Twenty Seven Co has advanced its battery metals strategy by securing an option to earn a 100 per cent interest in the highly prospective Mt Edon lithium, caesium and tantalum mining lease in WA’s Mid West region. Twenty Seven Co will initially fund a due diligence work program at the project that will include 500m of RC drilling to a minimum of $140,000 before making a final commitment. |

Mt Malcolm ratchets up Leonora gold search
|
Mt Malcolm Mines aims to extend the mineralisation of its Dumbarton gold prospect near Leonora in WA’s Goldfields region with a new 15-hole RC campaign over 1500m after a recalibration from its phase 1 program. The current campaign follows a phase 1 exploration program that struck gold anomalies in the first five holes sunk into the prospect. |

Cazaly closes in on resource estimate for Kimberley copper deposit
|
Cazaly Resources expects to release a maiden resource estimate for its Bommie copper prospect near Halls Creek next month after hitting a series of wide and shallow intercepts from the latest round of RC drilling. The company has received final assay results from a 19-hole campaign over 4094m aimed at testing its Moses Rock electromagnetic conductor and the Bommie porphyry copper system that forms part of the greater Halls Creek project. |

Si6 Metals rolls rig in for round two gold search |
Si6 Metals has kicked off a follow-up air-core drilling program at the company’s Monument gold project in WA’s Goldfields region. The 120-hole campaign will probe 6000m across four high-priority target areas as the company looks to build on wide zones of gold mineralisation encountered in May. About a quarter of the air-core volley will be aimed at potential extensions of Glencore’s world-class Murrin Murrin nickel laterite operation proximal to the south-west. |
