Greetings to you from my studio in a sunny Cape Town. Because of all the rains, we have experienced wonderful scenes of spring flowers everywhere. The Cape is beautiful this time of the year and she’s proudly waiting for all the tourists to arrive ♥

Ensure that the layers of fabric are stretched tautly in the hoop. For a good finish and to prevent your work from puckering out of shape, gently stretch the layers of fabric along all four sides. Ensure that the outline of the design is straight and tighten the screw. This you will need to do often, as the layers do tend to sag after a while. |

It is a good idea to stretch the layers of fabric and tighten the screw regularly before you stitch, for long and short stitch and long straight stitches.

For anyone who needs individual assistance with colour and texture, we have a customised service.
If you have a picture or design and need ribbons or threads, fibres, yarns etc. contact me and I can select these for you. All I need is the size of the picture so that I can choose the appropriate threads and ribbons to fit.
Also, if you need colours for your stock, for example, greens or reds or whatever shades you would like, let me know which size ribbon you want or what kind of thread and the colour scheme and I will select these for you.
So, with all the new releases, I am sure that you will be inspired to stitch. Even if you embroider for twenty minutes a day, it really is such good therapy. |
