Radical Missions Very First Newsletter
Radical Missions is a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-government organization (NGO) funded by private contributions. We work solely in the country of Guatemala in Central America. We are not affiliated with any corporation, single church, or other organization. Donations made to Radical are tax deductible.
Thanks to generous donors like you, Radical Missions is an overnight success 13 years in the making. Now we need your help.

Since God put it on our hearts to start Radical Missions in 2008, asking us to step forward in faith and just trust Him, He has achieved so much through us. Reading through the list of Radical Missions accomplishments we feel blessed and truly humbled God has used sinners like us to act as His hands and feet.

We never know why we undertake projects. We never know how we are going to pay for them. And we certainly have no idea how long each project will take. But we want to take a few minutes of your time to brag about our Lord and how amazing He is.

One of our biggest accomplishments, the Clinica Colfax (our clinic in Aldea Chuatzunuj, Tecpán), has helped thousands in a remote area of Guatemala that is often overlooked. It took us 10 years to get to this point. God provided just the right amount of money and gave us just the right number of resources to get it built. Not a penny more. In 2011, we started diligently working on building the first floor of the clinic, and two years later we started building the second floor. We would literally have enough money to buy 100 concrete blocks at a time and pay laborers to lay them. Sometimes, it would be months before we were able to do more. And it took until 2018 for us to finish the bathroom.
In 2018, bad water was killing babies, seriously concerning the whole village, and prompting the leaders of the community to finally get behind us and help us open the clinic. Today, even the City and Mayor of Tecpán is behind us, providing a Guatemalan Nurse to work in the clinic 5 days a week. We also have 3 American nurses working Mondays and Fridays at the clinic. It’s difficult to describe how great an impact this clinic is having in this region.
Radical Missions really sprung into action in 2016 as we left Casa to adopt Mishell and concentrate on our mission of making a difference ‘One Life at a Time’.
This year, it seems like we have hit a new gear, helping a 5-year-old boy repair a broken femur so he could walk again. We started a pharmacy in the clinic to provide free medicine to 12 villages around the clinic with GodSaidGo. And we also started a monthly dental program.

There are so many projects we were able to complete, again, each of them would have been impossible without God putting it on the hearts of people like you to step up and chip in.

We are so blessed to have a roof over our heads in a cozy 1-bedroom house. With God’s grace, we have been able to pay the rent each and every month. Our kids have never had to go hungry. And we have been able to accomplish so much with ‘just enough’. However, we never know what will be coming in each month, and we can’t work efficiently. Had we been receiving steady monthly gifts for the clinic, we would have been able to complete the same project in one third of the time.

Will you partner with us through a tax-deductible monthly gift? Your monthly support, no matter the size will make a huge difference, allowing us to plan for projects further in advance, allocating resources to the projects that have the biggest impact here in Guatemala.

We are very careful to spend every penny doing the Lord’s work, and the dollar stretches far here. For instance, we leverage existing Orphan Grain Train infrastructure to turn $2,500 into 275,000 servings of fortified rice and beans. That’s less than a penny a serving, letting us reach tens of thousands of people hit especially hard with Covid.

As always, your prayer is much appreciated. Thank you again for your past support. Please prayerfully consider making a monthly gift of any amount using this link here:
