First diamond hole delivers for Aurumin in WA gold hunt |
Mineral explorer Aurumin has intersected an impressive 344m at 1.29 grams per tonne gold in its first diamond drill hole at the company’s 784,000-ounce Central Sandstone gold project 130km west of Leinster in Western Australia. Highlights within the broad interval include 40.9m at 2 g/t, 21.8m at 2 g/t and 16.1m at 2.9 g/t. |

Hits keep coming for Lode at NSW silver base metals project |
Virgin ground at its Webbs Consol silver base metals project in NSW keeps delivering for Lode Resources, with scout drilling into its Castlereagh and Lucky Lucy North targets backing up last month’s success at nearby Tangoa West. All three prospects were previously untouched by the drill bit despite being exposed at surface. The company expects significant silver results from both holes as the metal is strongly associated with sphalerite and galena at Webbs Consol. |

Calima oil production levels bounce back in Canada |
ASX-listed Canadian oil producer Calima Energy is back to pumping 4100 barrels a day after a workover program in its Alberta fields, with three more wells still to go into production. Calima plans to distribute a maiden dividend of $2.5 million soon, subject to shareholder approval. |

White Cliff overcomes bad weather to test WA lithium play |
Despite recent unseasonal WA weather, White Cliff Minerals has showered assay labs with about 1000 soil samples from its Diemals lithium and rare earths play east of Perth and Reedy South gold project in the historic Cue goldfields region. The company plans to keep up the momentum with more than 700 samples expected from its Yinnetharra lithium rare earths project in the coming weeks. |

Auroch eyes upgrade after WA nickel drill campaign |
With outstanding assay results back at the office, Auroch Minerals is expecting to release an upgraded mineral resource estimate for its Saints nickel project near Kalgoorlie, WA within a few weeks. The company says results have confirmed high-grade massive and semi-massive nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation from its infill diamond drill program completed earlier this year. |

Wiluna campaign highlights new gold zones for Strickland |
Latest assay results from RC drilling at Strickland Metals’ Millrose project near Wiluna in WA have identified multiple new gold zones in addition to high-grade oxide gold intercepts. Highlights show one 5m intercept going 11.5 grams per tonne gold from 68m whilst a second 65m section from the same hole recorded 4.4 g/t from 95m including 3m at 20.2 g/t and another 3m reading an impressive 33.5 g/t gold. |

Lithium Australia’s recycling plan puts spark back in old batteries |
Perth-based battery technology company Lithium Australia is at the forefront of the lithium-ion battery recycling industry through its wholly owned subsidiary Envirostream. It’s a sector the CSIRO estimates in a recent report could grow to be worth $3.1 billion in Australia alone. The company says lithium waste is growing at 20 per cent per year, potentially exceeding 100,000 tonnes a year by 2036 — enough to fill 42 Olympic-sized swimming pools. |

Askari grows lithium footprint in NT |
After a third phase of rock sampling, junior explorer Askari Metals has identified lithium anomalism in a south-eastern zone of the company’s Barrow Creek lithium project in Northern Territory’s highly prospective Arunta pegmatite region. Three areas of anomalism were identified along a 5km long pegmatite corridor with results of up to 456 parts per million lithium oxide. |

Latin bootstraps into drill-ready gold play in NSW |
Latin Resources has added a drill-ready, high-grade gold package in the well-addressed Lachlan Fold Belt region of NSW to its portfolio after exercising its option to take 100 per cent of a prospect with a strike extending about 1.3km in length. The 751 square kilometre tranche is highly prospective for copper-gold and nickel-copper platinum group elements mineralisation. |

Heat turned up for Quantum graphite flake tests |
Test work is about to start on ASX-listed Quantum Graphite’s coarse flake graphite as part of its thermal energy storage pilot partnership project with Melbourne-based Sunlands Company. The ultra-high temperature testing is a critical step in the project to manufacture long-duration energy devices that may potentially play an integral role in delivering stable and flexible energy to grids dependent on renewable power. |

Geochemical trial unveils NZ gold for Cyclone Metals |
Cyclone Metals has unveiled a suite of gold anomalies at its Mareburn and Macraes South projects, about 40km north of Dunedin in New Zealand’s Otago Province following the company’s trial of an ionic leach geochemistry survey. According to the company, the program is an inexpensive and swift method of sniffing out and defining drill targets across its extensive tenements on the South Island. |

Pan Asia aims to build on Thailand lithium resource
|
Latest assay results for Pan Asia Metals from 10 holes drilled at its Reung Kiet lithium prospect in southern Thailand show extensions of the existing mineral resource at depth and along strike. Last month the company released its maiden mineral resource estimate of 10.4 million tonnes containing 45,600 tonnes of lithium oxide or about 113,000t of lithium carbonate equivalent. Pan Asia says its latest results support and enhance the current resource. |

Castle buoyed by early results in Ghana graphite project |
With more than half of a 46-hole RC drilling program under its belt, Castle Minerals is inspired after hitting graphitic schists in areas untouched by the drill bit in its search for graphite in Ghana, West Africa. It expects to wrap up the drilling later this month and send samples to Perth for assaying. |
