Vulcan set to cash in on new European Union changes

Europe’s rush towards climate neutrality has gained momentum with new industrial guidelines set to become a major growth ally for a handful of well-placed ASX-listed companies, including Vulcan Energy Resources. The company’s financial research has estimated a bulging revenue of €700 million (AU$1.1 billion) a year with an EBITDA margin of – wait for it - 84 per cent. |

Dynamic surges on new nickel discovery
|
Dynamic Metals’ share price hit its straps today after the company announced what looks to be a shallow new nickel discovery in the Widgiemooltha region near Kambalda. Three holes at its DFW prospect returned significant nickel intercepts including 15m at 1.86 per cent nickel from only 27m downhole. Another hole returned 15m grading 1.11 per cent nickel from 30m downhole and 12m going 1.58 per cent nickel from 48m. |

International Graphite eyes production after DFS
|
International Graphite is a step closer to establishing a $12.5 million graphite micronising plant in Collie after a DFS showed the facility could be operational by the third quarter of 2024. The company says it will be one of the first of its kind in Australia. The DFS shows operational costs for producing micronised graphite sits at an average of US$1980 per tonne with a current sales price of US$3000 per tonne. |

Ora Banda picks up a cool $10m in WA Goldfields deal

Ora Banda Mining will collect a cool $10 million for the sale of non-core tenements at Lady Ida, 65km south of its Davyhurst gold processing plant in WA. The company says the move will strengthen its balance sheet ahead of a decision on the go-ahead for its Riverina underground gold mine. The sale includes low-grade gold resources in addition to related mining and infrastructure licences. |

Castle Minerals sees hope in emerging lithium corridor

Battery metals explorer Castle Minerals has wrapped up a maiden soil-sampling program at its Woodcutters operation, in an emerging WA lithium corridor that takes in Alita Resources’ 26.5-million-tonne Bald Hill project. The company collected 937 samples, covering an area with known pegmatites where historical sampling unveiled coincident anomalous lithium, rubidium, beryllium, caesium and tin – key indicators for hard rock lithium mineralisation. |

Lithium Energy steers Qld graphite play towards development

Budding graphite developer Lithium Energy is nudging its Burke graphite deposit in Queensland closer to development with a one-tonne bulk graphite sample recently landing in China to undergo comprehensive metallurgical testwork. Testing is aimed at producing bulk flake concentrate as a suitable feed material for the development of lithium-ion battery anodes. |

Maximus buoyed by metallurgical tests
|
Maximus Resources is edging closer to production at its Wattle Dam and Redback deposits near Kambalda after preliminary metallurgical testing returned gold recoveries from 91.5 per cent up to 97.3 per cent. The company says the two deposits represent a potential near-term gold production opportunity with both located on granted mining licences and within trucking distance of several gold processing plants. |

Alto set to boost Sandstone gold resource
|
Alto Metals has commenced RC drilling aimed at interpreted high-grade gold-bearing structures and extensions at its Indomitable deposit near Sandstone in WA. Alto is currently working on updating the mineral resource estimate for its broader Sandstone project with completion expected this month. Drilling at Indomitable will seek to expand on high-grade gold intercepts from last year including 25m at 7.5g/t gold from 41m downhole. |
