A MESSAGE FROM MINDY TODD
Dear Founders Circle,

And just like that the days are longer. Our Weekly Bird Report recently made mention of this fact to explain the increased birdsong we hear, even on the coldest days.

As the days become longer, and warmer, we also start to think about gardening. Garden show archives on The Point will help you get in the mood. The new season of the garden show, with horticulturalist Roberta Clark, begins on April 18 and airs every third Tuesday of each month.

Spring also brings Earth Day reporting from near and far. Our NPR colleagues along with our local climate reporter, Eve Zuckoff, will keep you well informed about any celebrations or newsworthy events covering the natural beauty of our planet and of the Cape, the Coast and the Islands.

It's probably a good thing that the days are longer because there is a lot to do! As a member of the Founders Circle you help us deliver all this and so much more. Your generosity warms us all.

Happy Spring,
Mindy Todd, Managing Director of Editorial,
"The Point" Host and Producer

CAI Reporters Using TikTok to Share News
TikTok is a community that our children and grandchildren may be more familiar with than we are. Because we want to meet the next generation where they are, we are exploring new ways to communicate responsibly and effectively to this potential new audience.

We applaud climate reporter Eve Zuckoff for being the first CAI staffer to venture into this brave new world, sharing important information on PFAS contamination. Take a look!

The New Yorker magazine Patrick Radden Keefe to discuss his New York Times bestselling book Rogues: True Stories of Grifters, Killers, Rebels and Crooks. Local and National Morning Edition
Hosts and Producers Keep Us Informed
Meet your new local Morning Edition team, producer Brian Engles and host Patrick Flanary. Their job is to get up before dawn, gather the local overnight and breaking news, collect the updates for ongoing stories, digest the information and then deliver it on air from 6 AM – 9AM every weekday morning. All before we have had our coffee! But they don’t stop there. The remainder of the day finds them identifying sources, conducting interviews, and writing copy to pass on to the afternoon team. Keeping us informed is their passion.

Morning Edition is the most listened-to radio program in the country, and according to NPR polls, it is also the most trusted source of radio news. We salute our local and national NPR teams for their hard work in delivering the news we need to know to start our day!
NPR Morning Edition has many hosts, including Steve Inskeep, Laila Fadel, and A Martinez. The newest member of the team is Michel Martin. Michel jumped time slots in March from the afternoon show All Things Considered. Her impressive résumé and familiar voice makes Michel a great addition to all of our morning routines. Michel took former host Rachel Martin’s post after Rachel left to develop an NPR project focusing on religion, spirituality and meaning.
