AASA Reporting
Grade 3 electronic reports will be available in PearsonAccessNext on May 15, 2023 under Reports >> Published Reports. This will include student data files (.txt) and electronic score reports (PDF). Please see the AASA Reporting Guide for additional information.
It is the responsibility of the schools and district/charter to verify that all students who tested received scores back. Any discrepancies must be reported to AASA@azed.gov as soon as possible.

Access to AASA Reporting
The following user roles will have access to AASA Published Reports and OnDemand Reports in PearsonAccessNext: AASA District Test Coordinator, AASA School Test Coordinator, AASA District Report Only, and AASA School Report Only. Users in any role will only have access to the highest-level organization (school or district) they have permission to view. A user who should be able to view school-level data should be assigned either the AASA School Report Only or the AASA School Test Coordinator role, rather than a district role. The roles of AASA School Test Administrator and AASA Technology Coordinator will not have access to Published Reports or OnDemand Reports.
For the new Performance Level Dashboards and Historical Student Data, Pearson will provide a new role, Historical Report Viewer, to District Test Coordinators prior to these applications going live. Once the applications go live on June 16, District Test Coordinators can then assign this role to other users in the district or charter to give them access to these applications, as the district or charter determines is appropriate. Providing the Historical Report Viewer role at the school level will grant a user access to all AASA data for the school in these new applications, and providing the role at the district/charter level will grant a user access to all AASA data for the district or charter in these new applications.
If you will be unavailable this summer to access reports as the District Test Coordinator, please ensure the appropriate role(s) have been provided to other users in your district or charter who will need access to reports when they are published this summer.
Move on When Reading
The Move on When Reading indicator will be featured on the AASA Grade 3 score reports and in the student data file. In order to determine whether third grade students met the Move on When Reading requirements for promotion to the fourth grade, please complete the following:
- Download the AASA student data file.
- Filter the "Move on When Reading Requirement" column (Column BJ).
- Any student who has an "N" in this column did not meet the cut score for Move on When Reading.
Reminder: The Grade 3 Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) test unit was field tested this year and will not appear on score reports, will not be included in the overall ELA score, and will not count toward the Move on When Reading indicator in Spring 2023.
