A useful tip:
Change your needle more often than you think, especially needles that are damaged, bent, or blunt. Sometimes, the eye of the needle may have twisted, then it is a good idea to change your needle. As soon as you have difficulty inserting the needle into the fabric or if it has lost its shine, it is time to change your needle – usually after every second or third project. Dull or damaged needles can tear your fabric and ribbon and cause the threads to break or fray.

On the 26th of August it was International Dog day!
Dogs are so special and find a way into your heart so easily. At Dicraft we were so pleased to be celebrating dogs all over the world. We hope your day was filled with all the joy and happiness that dogs bring to our lives every day.

For Australia and New Zealand and outlying areas it is a flat rate $24.95 USD because of the distance and for South Africa it is only $7 USD. I showed you Olga's thistle designs last time and when I saw her roses, I knew I must show you these! I asked Olga to write a little about herself and she replied:
“My name is Olga and I live in Israel. I am a doctor, a loving wife, and a mom of two adorable boys. My passion for embroidery techniques started around one year ago when the pandemic pounced on us all and we were supposed to spend our time in isolation. I discovered for myself a new hobby which was ribbon embroidery. I fell in love with this type of embroidery and from that time on when I have any free time (which is a luxury for me with kids in the house and housework) I either embroider or find inspiration by observing the nature around me. That’s the story of how I got along with my new hobby :)”

For anyone who needs individual assistance with colour and texture, we have a customised service.
If you have a picture or design and need ribbons or threads, fibres, yarns etc. contact me and I can select these for you. All I need is the size of the picture so that I can choose the appropriate threads and ribbons to fit.
Also, if you need colours for your stock, for example, autumn or pastel shades, let me know which size ribbon you want or what kind of thread and the colour scheme and I will select these for you.
