Metal Hawk hits nickel grade with WA massive sulphides strike
Metal Hawk is onto a new high grade massive sulphide nickel strike in WA after a one metre hit went 5.89 per cent nickel from its maiden drilling campaign at the company’s Berehaven nickel project just east of Kalgoorlie. The high-grade intercept at the Commodore prospect has confirmed a new greenfields nickel discovery and the company is now set to unleash the drill rig to test its extents. |

Dart uncovers monster Victorian porphyry target
ASX-listed Dart Mining has detected multiple and compelling geophysical anomalies at its Granite Flat copper-gold project in north-eastern Victoria which may represent large regions of disseminated porphyry-style mineralisation at depth. The largest anomaly unveiled can be traced over a 2km strike length and is closely associated with known granitic porphyry and aplite dykes. |

Novo unearths shallow Pilbara gold hits
Novo Resources’ aggressive exploration approach to its extensive 14,000 square kilometre land holding in WA’s Pilbara goldfields is turning up a slew of impressive shallow, high-grade intercepts. The latest round of drilling at the Talga Talga project has coughed up a striking 3m intersection going 25.5 g/t gold from 28m and 3m at 23.3 g/t gold from 11m. |

Lithium Energy enlists CSIRO to deliver battery-grade graphite
Lithium Energy has engaged CSIRO to put the uber high-grade graphite from its Burke graphite project in Queensland through its paces with a view to determining its ultimate suitability for use in the manufacture of lithium-ion battery anodes. The company says the high grade and low impurities within the deposit make it particularly attractive for use in lithium-ion batteries and previous test work showed good electrochemical performance. |

Pegmatites grow at Pan Asia lithium-tin play in Thailand
Pan Asia Metals has now completed 34 diamond drill holes for a total of 4856m at its Reung Kiet lithium/tin project in Thailand. Recent drill holes have increased the known thickness of the individual pegmatites to over 30m, with composite thicknesses over 70m in some sections. All drill holes so far have returned zones of lithium mineralisation associated with lepidolite-rich pegmatite dykes and veins in altered siltstone. |

Maximus onto “Kambalda style” nickel sulphides at Hilditch West
Maximus Resources says a detailed piece of geological detective work on some drill chips has confirmed the nickel sulphides at its Hilditch West project near Kambalda resemble the nickel sulfides that put Kambalda on the geological map many years ago. Maximus also says recent high-grade nickel intercepts in a regional scale shear zone at Hilditch West are likely being fed from deeper ultramafics that it is now itching to drill. |

Horizon releases Kalpini gold resource after stellar drill hits
ASX-listed Horizon Minerals has released a new mineral resource estimate for its Kalpini project about 65 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in WA. The revised resource weighs in at 1.87 million tonnes grading 2.33 grams per tonne for 139,000 ounces of the precious yellow metal. Kalpini is one of six key satellite gold deposits that underpins Horizon’s proposed flagship Boorara gold production hub about 15km east of Kalgoorlie. |

ADX lands Austrian geothermal partnership
ADX Energy has finalised commercial arrangements to enter the European geothermal power market via a pilot project at its 100 per cent owned Austrian tenure. ADX will partner up with German energy giant, Siemens Energy and Austrian drilling outfit, RED Drilling and Services as it looks to expand into commercial-scale geothermal power generation to supplement its existing oil and gas production in the Vienna Basin. |

Torian extends Mount Stirling gold system
Torian Resources has extended its Mount Stirling gold system a further 280m southeast beyond the previous resource boundary with mineralisation now intersected over 1,040m along strike. The company has now increased the known gold mineralisation at various prospects across multiple gold domains. The drilling campaign is in full swing and the company says it has negotiated faster turnaround times for new assays. |

Emu hits more high-grade gold veins at Gnows Nest in WA
ASX listed Emu NL has hit several stunning gold mineralised quartz vein intercepts from a reverse circulation drill program at its lode-gold style Gnows Nest project near Yalgoo in WA. Significant intersections include 2m at an impressive12.62 grams per tonne gold from 121m that hosted a 1m section grading an even more impressive18.57 grams per tonne gold. |

Solid rock chip samples spark drilling push for Aldoro
Mineral explorer Aldoro Resources has turned up some promising results from rock chip samples containing lithium, nickel, copper and gold at its Narndee and Wyemandoo prospects near Mt Magnet in WA. The company is now planning a round of detailed mapping and drilling to run the samples to ground. Results include high-grade rubidium and highly anomalous lithium, with the best results 0.8 per cent rubidium and 0.81 lithium. |

Great Southern onto new gold anomalies at Duketon
ASX-listed junior explorer Great Southern Mining has defined several large kilometre scale gold anomalies within its Duketon tenements in WA from regional soil sampling and will be drill testing at the Amy Clarke prospect by the end of the year. A geophysical magnetic low channel associated with the gold anomalies can be traced 3km north to Regis Resources’ 322,000-ounce Erlistoun deposit grading 1.9 grams per tonne gold. |

Chilean copper feasibility study gains momentum for Hot Chili
ASX-listed Hot Chili’s pre-feasibility study into its 100 per cent owned Costa Fuego copper-gold development in Chile is gaining momentum. A materials-handling scoping study has revealed significant time and cost savings when implementing a “rope conveyor” to transport ore downhill from Cortadera to Productora.
