Dear Valued Customer,
On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, the water service to your home will be temporarily shut off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This shutdown is needed so Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) – your water provider – can relocate a section of the water main to a deeper depth underground near SW 188th Avenue and SW Shelley Street.
During this work, your home will not have water for drinking, cooking, showers, washing dishes, flushing toilets, or any other use.
We know this may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience as we complete this important work safely and efficiently.

Why This is Happening
As part of a pedestrian improvement project, Washington County Land Use & Transportation is building a new walkway along 188th Avenue between SW Kinnaman Road and SW Blanton Street. A protected pedestrian crossing will also be added at 188th and Kinnaman.
A section of the existing water main will be adjusted to a deeper depth underground to make space for sidewalk foundations or underground infrastructure without risking future utility conflicts or service issues.
