It's important to keep data secure, reducing the risk of possible threats and preventing issues that can cause disruption. We have general guidance on cyber security best practices to explore.

To increase security for Pearson, we use a Multi-Factor Authentication process when accessing our systems. Go to our Pearson Portal Authenticator support article for more information and troubleshooting guides.

Exams Officer Support | Essential Information
Now's the time to submit your learners’ marks and samples for the summer series non-examined internal assessments. The deadline to upload both marks and sample learner work is today Thursday 15 May 2025.

We contacted all centres with internal assessment entries at the start of May with guidance on submitting marks, how to view and submit your sample and more.

Deadline to submit centre marks and moderation samples: GCSE, AS/A level, International GCSE, ELC(A), Project qualifications
A Level Art and Design 9AD0/01 (and all linked endorsements) – start of moderator visits: Marks must be submitted 48 hours prior to the moderation visits
GCSE Art and Design 1AD0/01 (and all linked endorsements) – start of moderator visits: Marks must be submitted 48 hours prior to the moderation visits
A Level Geography 9GE0 and 8GE0: Deadline to submit Fieldwork Statement form
GCSE Geography A 1GA0 and Geography B 1GB0: Deadline to submit Fieldwork Statement form

Speaking window closure: International GCSE English as a Second Language (4ES1) and Swahili
Submission deadline for recordings: GCSE Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Urdu
International GCSE examinations are returned using the white return label provided with AR1 attendance registers. These labels are not funded and not covered by the Dfe yellow label service and Parcelforce will refuse collection.

Please make sure you arrange and pay for your own courier/tracked service back to Pearson. Read more about the white label service.
Candidates must be entered for one tier and sit all components within a subject at the same tier (Foundation or Higher). This covers GCSE Maths, International GCSE Maths, Single Sciences (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), Combined Science and Languages.

Mixed-tier entry is strictly prohibited. You should make sure that all candidates sit all components at the same tier of which they are entered. Irrespective of what tier the candidate/centre think is appropriate, the candidate must continue to sit the remaining components at the tier of entry.


If a learner has sat a different awarding body's exam paper in error, then please apply for Special consideration.

7B file submission: Deadline to submit EDI summer results file request

UCAS confirmation: Complete a confirmation that all learners who have an active UCAS application are visible on your VQ Learner Tracker
5 July
BTEC claiming deadline: make full award certification claims (including BTEC Tech Award cash-ins) and input all internal grades, for learners expecting a result following the release of May/June 2025 external examination results, or for those with active UCAS applications. All outstanding actions should also be completed by 5 July
You can now easily access pre-release, web release and externally assessed tasks on the Secure Tests webpage via Edexcel Online under the BTEC and Functional Skills menu.
The Learner Work Transfer portal allows users to securely transfer digital evidence required for internal and external assessments. Make sure you have Basic Access permission on your Edexcel Online account.
Centres delivering Entry Level Functional Skills this academic year, will have been allocated a Standards Verifier (SV). The deadline to complete sampling activities is 31 July 2025. Please make sure you claim certification for 2024-25 learners by 31 August 2025. Any claim made after this date will require further support.

If you have had your visit, please check your SV report for 'limited release' as it can mean further samples are required for submission before 31 July 2025.

Any learners not completing the course(s) and/or have since left, please make sure you withdraw their registration on Edexcel Online.

On 28 April, Ofqual published a message from the Chief Regulator to school and college leaders. Please take some time to read this reminder of important information for the exam series. 
It includes:
  • maintaining security and integrity of exams and assessments
  • the importance of reviewing contingency plans
  • the term-time checkpoint
Please also be aware of specific arrangements for:
  • Tech Awards and the terminal rule
  • grading of Technical Qualifications for T Levels in their first year of awarding
  • new post-16 qualifications available to teach from September 2025 (Alternative Academic Qualifications and Reformed Technical Qualifications including Technical Occupation Qualifications)
You can get the most from our Pearson support portal by logging in. If you’re already an Edexcel Online, Pearson Progress, ResultsPlus, or Edexcel Gateway user, you can sign in using those credentials.
