106 Street to close as Warehouse Park Project construction continues
June 19, 2025

Edmonton’s downtown population is growing, and so is the demand for a functional network of downtown public places that provide areas to socialize, celebrate and recharge in the heart of the city. To meet this emerging need, the City started construction on the Warehouse Park Project in July 2024.

Designed for all ages and abilities, Edmonton’s newest downtown park will provide space for people to play, be active, relax and gather with friends and neighbours.

Crews are now ready to begin construction on 106 Street. Improvements on 106 Street include road reconstruction, construction of new sidewalks, a bike lane, storm sewer, and the installation of new street lighting, pedestrian lighting and streetscaping.

To facilitate this construction, 106 Street will be closed from just north of Jasper Avenue to just south of 102 Avenue starting June 23 for the duration of construction.

Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to use 108 Street and 105 Street as alternative routes. All business access will be maintained during construction.

Construction on the Warehouse Park Project is progressing on time.
