July Spotlight: Your Weekly Benefit May Have Gone Up! |
Did your weekly FAMLI benefit recently increase? |
Every year, there’s a change to the State Average Weekly Wage (SAWW) across Colorado benefits systems, including My FAMLI+. This means changes to the SAWW also make changes to your benefits! |
On July 1, the Colorado SAWW increased to $1,534.94 — meaning the weekly FAMLI benefits max has increased to $1,381.45. For some claimants, this change may mean you’re seeing a higher weekly benefit than you’re used to. The good news? No action is needed on your end! |
The My FAMLI+ system automatically applies the new SAWW to all affected claims. If your payment amount needs to go up, the update will happen seamlessly — no forms, no calls, no extra steps required. |
Want to check your claim? Just log in to your My FAMLI+ account to view your updated claim details. You’ll always find the most accurate information there. |

New Upgrades to Help You File Appeals and Track Intermittent Leave |
Recent updates to the My FAMLI+ portal are here to save you time and make your FAMLI benefit more accessible than ever. |
- Flexibility: You can now add multiple appellants or appellees when filing a new appeal.
- Clarity: When submitting an appeal, you’ll see a clear list of relevant claims to choose from.
- Efficiency: If you’re trying to appeal a decision that’s already been appealed, the system will notify you of its status.
- Accuracy: If you’re approved for intermittent medical leave, it’s now easier to report your hours accurately within the 30-day window your provider has certified.
|
FAMLI is committed to helping you stay on track — and giving you more confidence as you manage your benefits. |
Check out your portal today! And for general questions about the appeals process after checking the status on My FAMLI+, send an email to CDLE_FAMLI_appeals@state.co.us. |

Know Your Leave: Changing Jobs During a Leave Claim |
FAMLI leave is flexible because your life or your job can change. If you start a new job or your schedule shifts during your leave, here's how to stay on track: |
👇 If You're on Continuous Leave: |
- Log in to My FAMLI+, go to your claim, and select Update Employment under Employer Details to add your new job.
- Your benefits will continue for the full, approved duration — even if you stop working at your current job.
- If you start a new job during your leave, let us know! Your benefit amount may change based on your new income.
|
👇 If You're on Intermittent Leave or a Reduced Schedule: |
- Any job change or schedule adjustment must be reported to FAMLI so your benefits stay accurate.
- You can add or remove a job — or update your work hours — right in your My FAMLI+ account by using the Update Employment feature.
|
🚨 What if you stop working completely? |
- If you're totally unemployed, even for just one day, you’ll need to end your current claim early by calling us directly.
- When you start working again, you’re welcome to apply for a new claim based on your new job.
