Information for
Achievement District Test Coordinators
August 13, 2025
Welcome back to the start of another school year! As the Achievement District Test Coordinator (DTC), you will be the point of contact with ADE's Achievement testing team throughout the year. Please watch for periodic emails with important testing information, reminders, and deadlines. Read these emails carefully, as well as our quarterly newsletter, The Assessments Bulletin, so you do not miss important testing information. DTC communications will also be published on the Achievement DTC page of our website throughout the school year for easy reference.

Please note the following additional resources:
Friday Focus Webinar

Our first Friday Focus Webinar of the 2025-2026 school year will be held this Friday, August 15, 1:00-2:00pm, and will highlight updates to statewide testing for this year. The webinar will be recorded, and the recording will be published on our website following the live event. To attend the live webinar, please register in the Arizona Professional Learning & Development (APLD) system. See the Friday Focus Webinars flyer for a list of all the 2025-2026 Friday Focus Webinars that have been scheduled.
Achievement Testing Mode Application

All statewide achievement tests (AASA, AzSCI, ACT Aspire, and ACT) are administered online, by default. If any school wishes to switch to paper-based testing for any of the statewide achievement tests, the Achievement District Test Coordinator must submit a request in the Achievement Testing Mode Application in ADEConnect, September 8 - October 3, 2025. Requests for paper-based testing will apply to the entire school. ADE will review each request individually and update the status in the application.

Due to the passing of HB2540, schoolwide requests will require explanation of special circumstances for which paper-based testing is needed.

Please note that all AzSCI paper tests are administered as Special Paper Version tests and require that all student responses be key-entered in TestNav by the Test Administrator prior to the end of the AzSCI test window.
For questions about AASA, please contact us at AASA@azed.gov.
For questions about AzSCI, please contact us at AzSCI@azed.gov.
For questions about ACT and ACT Aspire, please contact us at Testing@azed.gov.
