NEW PROJECT NOTIFICATION
Florence Lane Pump Station Upgrades Project:
August 27, 2025 to February 2026
**Majority of Work to Occur Inside the Pump Station** |
Dear Valued Customer,
Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD), your drinking water provider, will soon begin a project to strengthen the water infrastructure serving your neighborhood.
From August 27 to February 2026, an electrical contractor overseen by TVWD will be upgrading and replacing the electrical service and equipment, transformers, and the generator inside the Florence Lane Pump Station located at 6675 SW Florence Lane. Following this work, TVWD’s operations staff will replace the pumps and motors inside the building.
Unlike the recent Florence Lane Reservoir Coating Project, which involved significant work outside on the reservoirs, most of this work will happen inside the pump station building.
You may see crews accessing the site, but most of the work – and noise – will occur indoors, keeping impacts to neighbors minimal. Some short preparatory work, such as locating underground utilities, connecting a new electrical service, and staging material will happen either on site or near the pump station’s driveway and Florence Lane, but these activities will be limited. Please note, this work is separate from the neighboring Taylors Ferry Reservoir Project.
Additional details are below.

Benefits and Cost
This project will prepare the pump station to send water to the new water reservoirs and pump station being built at the Taylors Ferry site. Additionally, the upgraded pump station components will:
- Increase capacity and reliability, ensuring water can meet growing community needs
- Strengthen system reliability, giving extra support so water service stays consistent even during maintenance or high demand
- Extend infrastructure life, keeping the system strong for years to come
The $2.1 million project is funded through previously collected water rates and reflects our commitment to reliable water service to the Metzger community.
