October's Event Highlight |
This month, I wanted to give a shout-out to one of our recent Known Distance Clinics, which was in Duluth, Minnesota, on September 27-28, 2025. Below are some words from the Shoot Boss, IXOYE:
"We had a great group of shooters turn out for the known distance clinic in Duluth. We started out with some classroom discussions before heading out to the range to set up our target lines. Once things were set up, we began developing our ballistic data at each distance. Once our data was collected at each distance, we shot that stage of the AQT for score. We ran into some issues with being able to see all our targets from the 400-yard line, so we ended up shooting in squads.[...]"

October's History:
British Troops Stationed in Boston to Enforce the Townsend Acts |
This month, we wanted to tell the story of British Troops Stationed in Boston to Enforce the Townsend Acts. Below is a sample of this month's exciting article from our resident historian, AH1Tom.
"As Parliament passes these acts, tensions rise in Boston, with colonists boycotting British goods and defying new rules. To enforce the Townsend Acts and to protect those Royal officials tasked with the collection of revenue, British troops were stationed in Boston. The ships arrived on Friday evening, September 30. At noon on Saturday, October 1st, 1768, 2,000 British regular troops disembarked. Their presence caused massive disruption to the everyday lives of the Bostonians' economic livelihoods, physical safety, social order, and political rights.[...]"

Stay connected with the forum |
The Project Appleseed Forum is a great place to stay connected. It isn't just a place for After Action Reports from previous events. Although we have a ton of those. It is also a great place to find Deals and Steals. And as the name forum suggests, it's a great place for discussions. Our Skill Sets of Shooting board is an awesome place for trading Rifleman knowledge. And swing on by The Buckman Tavern if you haven't yet. The Buckman Tavern is our open discussion board for Appleseed Instructors, supporters, and friends. |

One Minute to Help Preserve Our Nation |
It takes just one minute to write a simple postcard, email, or letter to our representatives to make a difference in preserving our nation. Although you will likely never convince a representative who is dead set on a position, they simply need to know that folks back home are for or against an issue and are watching them. Studies have shown that with just 10-12 letters, representatives on the state level can be swayed. With as few as 50 letters, some federal representatives can be swayed. Not bad for a minute's worth of work once or twice a week. This link www.usa.gov can provide contact information for your State and Federal Representatives.

Want to Support Project Appleseed? |
If you'd like to support Project Appleseed, there are plenty of ways to do so. You can buy tickets, buy store items, or make a 100% tax-deductible donation. We accept and are appreciative of all donations. Of course, the thing valued above all is TIME. Volunteers; those that can give up their time and help us out, in whatever capacity it may be, are what this program runs on. |
Partnership with "Right to Bear" |
Concealed carry/self-defense insurance options have grown in recent years. Appleseed has partnered with one of these groups - Right to Bear (RTB).
"When you become a Right To Bear Member, your dollars are helping to fund our God-given right to freedom. A portion of every dollar we [RTB] earn is given back to the causes that support organizations that fight for First Amendment Religious Freedom, Freedom of Speech, Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms, Sanctity of Life, and the needs of our Veterans and First Responders."
You can visit Right to Bear HERE |
Thank you! Let's stay in touch! |
