It’s easier to stay on track throughout the year when you know exactly what’s coming up. That’s why, shaped by your feedback, we’ve created the BTEC key dates and term-time checkpoints guide for 2025/26 to help you plan with confidence for the year ahead.

Get a head start this term 

Here’s how you can get ahead this term before our first term-time checkpoint opens on 1 December:
✓  Review your estimated completion dates. Any students with a completion date between 1 April 2026 and 31 August 2026 receive a summer tag in the VQ Learner Tracker. We’ll be asking you to check these tags from 1 December, so reviewing your estimated completion dates now can save you time later.

✓  Take a look around the VQ Learner Tracker. We’ll be using this again this year for you to manage your learners and complete your term-time checkpoints. Log in now so you can get familiar.
Support when you need it 

We’re here to make sure you have the guidance and tools you need to meet your term-time checkpoints throughout the year. You can expect dedicated webinars, step-by-step guidance and contact from our helpful customer services team.

We’ll also be in touch whenever we can see you may need support at other times; for example, to meet entry deadlines or when a student's estimated completion date has passed.
