ACT Updates
ACT's What's New webpage provides an overview of changes for the Spring 2026 test administration. This webpage link is available under Step 1: Orientation on the ACT-hosted website for Arizona. Test Coordinators are strongly encouraged to review the What's New webpage prior to attending the ACT webinars detailed below and to bring any questions to the webinars for the ACT team to address. The ACT Newsroom & Blog also provides answers to common questions about the Enhanced ACT.
On October 10th, ADE and ACT partnered to host a Friday Focus Webinar about the ACT Enhancements. The webinar recording is now available on our Friday Focus Webinars webpage.
ACT Schedule Flexibility Policy
New in Spring 2026, schools will have the flexibility to administer Science and Writing after an extended break or on a different day than English, Math, and Reading are administered. Schools may continue to administer all test units on the same testing day, if preferred. Refer to ACT's Schedule Flexibility Policy for guidance which must be strictly followed.
The decision to provide schedule flexibility applies to ALL standard time and single-day accommodations testing rooms and administrations for that testing event/window at the school.
- English, Math, and Reading sub-tests must be administered on the same day.
- Schools testing online may administer Science and Writing after an extended break or on a subsequent day in the same testing window for all students (standard time and single-day accommodations).
- Schools testing on paper may administer Science and Writing after an extended break or on the Wednesday following their Tuesday paper administration (standard time and single-day accommodations).

ACT Webinars
The 2025-2026 ACT-hosted webinars have been scheduled. All District Test Coordinators with students in Grade 11 / Cohort 2027 must attend each webinar listed below or view the webinar recording afterwards. School Test Coordinators are also encouraged to attend. Each webinar recording will be posted on the ACT-hosted website for Arizona following the live event.
- Information will be shared about submitting requests for accommodations as well as administering tests with ACT-approved accommodations.
Test Administration #1 - November 5, 2025, 9:00am (Register Here)
- Topics covered will include updates for Spring 2026 testing (including the new ACT Enhancements), important dates, and required pre-test activities to prepare for the Spring test administration.
Test Administration #2 - February 18, 2026, 9:00am (Register Here)
- The focus of this webinar will be testing day and post-test activities and responsibilities.
