Update on Modified Papers for upcoming series

30 October 2025
Dear colleague,

We've started sending out your November 2025 modified question papers.

Centre orders made for Large Print or Braille will be despatched separately to standard materials. These will arrive in green tamper proof packaging to differentiate from standard exam papers. We aim to deliver papers to centres a minimum of 5 days before an examination date. Where physical papers cannot be delivered due to late orders, we will send a PDF copy on a Secure File Transfer.
January 2026 exams

The deadline for ordering modified papers for the January 2026 exam series has now passed.

If you were unable to meet the deadline, you should place your late order on Access Arrangements Online (AAO/PAAO) urgently and then
contact us by email. Please quote the order number and your centre number. We can then advise you if it is possible to supply a modified paper.
Models for use with January 2026 Mathematics modified papers

We no longer automatically supply 3D models with the modified large print mathematics papers.

Please note that these will still come as standard with all orders for UEB Grade 1 and Grade 2 braille. You do not need to order these if your candidate uses braille.

If your centre has placed, or intends to place an order, for modified large print papers for one of the following subjects, and your student requires 3D models, please
complete this form to order these.
  • International A Level Mathematics
  • Edexcel Award Number & Measure
If you don't complete the form by 28 November 2025, we won’t be able to send any models to your centre.

If you have already completed the form for your student(s), you can disregard this.

The 3D models are produced for use with modified papers only.
These are not available to order for and must not be used with standard exam materials. The modified question paper and model may contain differences to the standard question paper. These differences are part of the modification process. Using both modified and standard materials together may cause the student to be significantly disadvantaged.
Summer 2026 exams

Modified papers for the summer 2026 exams are now available to order.
The deadline for ordering is 31 January 2026.
Information and Past Papers

Modified papers are made to order for each exam series, which means that not all papers are instantly available in all formats. All papers created in a modified format for each series are available on the website once the exam series is complete. If you cannot find a paper or require hard copies of any braille, tactile diagrams or 3D models, please contact our modified formats team, who will be able to support you further.

You must ensure that your candidate is given the opportunity to practice using the relevant past papers, prior to them sitting their exams. This will allow them to get used to the layout and formatting of the papers.
Further information, guidance, past paper access and FAQs, can be found on the modified formats support page.

If you have any further questions, please contact us via the Pearson support portal.

Kind regards,
