31st annual Stuff a Bus campaign returns to help end hunger
November 25, 2025

The 31st annual Stuff a Bus campaign, a partnership between Edmonton Transit Service, Strathcona County Transit Service and Save-On-Foods, runs from November 26 to 30. The campaign supports those in need by providing non-perishable food and financial donations to Edmonton’s Food Bank, as well as the Strathcona Food Bank and Parkland Food Bank.

The City is pleased to once again be joined by Edmonton Public Schools in gathering donations. Students from several Edmonton schools will  load their collected donations onto an ETS bus as part of the campaign.

“Stuff a Bus truly showcases the compassion and dedication of the volunteers, City staff and partners, who come together to ensure all Edmontonians can put food on the table,” said Mayor Andrew Knack. “The City is proud to continue this annual tradition of supporting Edmonton’s Food Bank in a time when many families are facing financial pressures. It is an honour to have so many people care so deeply about the wellbeing of our neighbours."

Edmontonians can support the campaign with financial or food donations. Each donation of $3.64 provides one meal for one person. A full list of donation locations, dates and times is available at

"Save-On-Foods is proud to continue its tradition of supporting the Stuff a Bus campaign in the greater Edmonton area, a partnership that has been going strong since 1995," said Darren Nickerson, Regional Director for Save-On-Foods. "Our teams support local food banks year-round and Stuff a Bus is a special chance to celebrate the generosity that defines our community. Together, we can ensure Edmonton families have the food they need."

During the 2024 campaign, more than 24,000 kilograms of food was collected at Save-On-Foods locations and over $20,000 in cash donations. Together, these contributions helped feed more than 60,000 people in Edmonton last holiday season.

“Stuff a Bus continues to show what’s possible when our city comes together with heart and purpose. As demand for food support reaches record levels, this campaign helps us ensure families, seniors and individuals have access to the nutritious food they need,” said Tamisan Bennz-Knight, Managing Director of Relationships and Partnerships, Edmonton’s Food Bank. “The cost of living remains high, but with the support of ETS, Save-On-Foods and our community, we are able to meet these challenges head-on.”

The Food Bank’s hamper programs help approximately 43,000 people a month, an all-time monthly high in the organization’s 44-year history. Since its inception, the Stuff a Bus campaign has collected over 625,000 kilograms of food and $535,000 in cash donations for Edmonton’s Food Bank. The Stuff a Bus campaign has helped serve 1,529,528 meals since 1995.
