December's Event Highlight |
This month, I wanted to give a shout-out to one of our 25m Rifle Clinics, which was in Jackson, Ohio, on November 8-9. Below are some words from the Shoot Boss, Griffin:
"The weather was chilly, damp, and overcast with progressively stronger winds. I think Providence intervened to hold off the worst of it, we persisted, and it paid off. The rain and snow flurries held off just long enough for us to get through Sunday mid-afternoon, when we were ready to head home. [...]"

George Washington Resigns His Commission |
This month, we wanted to tell the story of George Washington Resigns His Commission. Below is a sample of this month's exciting article from our resident historian, AH1Tom.
"The decision by Washington to surrender his command was extraordinary, particularly within a historical context wherein victorious military leaders frequently assumed political control. The young American republic was apprehensive regarding the possibility of a military dictatorship such as had transpired in earlier revolutions of other nations. Washington, however, sought to reassure both its compatriots and the international community that the United States would pursue a different course. .[...]"

One Minute to Help Preserve Our Nation |
It takes just one minute to write a simple postcard, email, or letter to our representatives to make a difference in preserving our nation. Although you will likely never convince a representative who is dead set on a position, they simply need to know that folks back home are for or against an issue and are watching them. Studies have shown that with just 10-12 letters, representatives on the state level can be swayed. With as few as 50 letters, some federal representatives can be swayed. Not bad for a minute's worth of work once or twice a week. This link www.usa.gov can provide contact information for your State and Federal Representatives.
