Dear Friend:

The holidays are here and I hope to see you at my final annual holiday party and toy/essentials collection drive this Thursday, December 4th from 4-7pm at my District Office in Reseda. There will be food, a photobooth, and musical performance by the Pierce College Choir.
Like in years past, we will be collecting toys, nonperishable dry and canned goods, hygiene products, and more to be distributed among community members in need. Your non-perishable dry or canned goods will go directly to food insecure families thanks to our amazing local partner food banks- West Valley Food Pantry, the Canoga Park Senior Citizen Center, and ONEgeneration Senior Enrichment Center. New socks and gently used jackets and blankets will benefit our unsheltered neighbors. And, of course, the toys will be distributed to children who might otherwise go without during the holidays. The toys will be sorted and distributed appropriately based on age and need to non-profits such as the Guadalupe Center, Kids Cancer Connection, West Valley YMCA and NEW Economics for Women that have organized toy giveaways. While the drive does not take cash or credit cards, if you'd like to donate to one of these partner organizations directly, please visit their website linked above.

Just a reminder that parking at my District Office is limited. Free parking and a shuttle will be provided at the West Valley Family YMCA located at 18810 Vanowen Street, just a block away from the office. The shuttle will run from 4-7:30PM.

To help us with logistics and food preparation, please RSVP and I look forward to seeing you this holiday season.
