1. What can we expect at a Rifleman Boot Camp?
For those who are just beginning, the basics of rifle marksmanship. For those who have more experience, an opportunity to fine tune those basics and plenty of opportunities to perfect what they've learned. Also, there's pistol and known distance instruction. We strive to give everybody the opportunity to earn patches for rifleman, KD, and pistoleer!
There's a lot of history. Those people who are interested in taking an orange hat also get some extra experience on the line instructing and telling history.
2. Why should someone attend an RBC?
Because it's amazing! Regardless of how good a shooter you are, it's all about perfecting a skill. You are going to walk away learning a lot. On top of that, there's the camaraderie. It's amazing to meet like-minded people. You don't have to be like-minded politically to have the same interest in life. And that's what Project Appleseed is all about! You spend a week with these folks, and you walk away with some lifelong friends.
It's all ages--a great way for a family to spend a week together!
3. What if someone can't commit to all five days of the RBC?
That's an individual decision. As long as you're there on the front end of the event, we'll give you as much as we can possibly give you in the days that you do attend.
4. Are loaner firearms available?
We do have quiet a few centerfire loaner rifles for those who want to try their hand at known distance but don't own one. We also have 10/22 rimfire rifles and even a few pistols (both 9mm and .22 caliber) to lend. If folks bring ammo they are welcome to use them.
5. How about a discount on the ticket price?
Revolutionary War Veterans Association members get a 35% discount on all Project Appleseed events, including RBC's. A one-year membership to RWVA more than pays for itself just with the discount on one boot camp adult ticket!
Folks should purchase a membership to RWVA before they buy their boot camp tickets since their ticket discount code comes just after they join. Once they have that code, they can save almost $60 on an adult RBC ticket and over $22 on an under-18 ticket!
There are also discounts for shooters who are active law enforcement, military, reserve, national guard, or disabled.
