- If you haven’t already, please share the Centre Guide for Standards Verification with programme teams.
- Audit assessment plans with your lead IVs to make sure the required sample will be available in ahead of the 15 May deadline.
- Share the new YouTube channel with programme teams, signposting the support available in on-demand CPD packages and bitesize videos.
- Access and share the BTEC Tech Award moderator reports
- Complete the APMR for Higher Nationals by the 20 Feb if not yet done
- Check with your exams officer that the cohort declaration has been completed

We sent your programme control measures to your Edexcel Online mailbox in November. Make sure you share these with your lead IVs as soon as possible, if you haven’t already, so they can start preparations for sampling.
Share the Centre Guide for Standards Verification with your programme teams so they can fully understand the process, what documents need to be sent to the standards verifier, the timelines and size of sample to be prepared.
Allocations for BTEC Level 1 QCF, BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 will begin this month, so look out for the introductory email from your standards verifier to pass to your lead IVs. If you have any concerns about the validity of the email you receive, you can check your standards verifier’s details on Edexcel Online.
Before the introductory email from your standards verifier, you may also receive an allocation notification from vqdeployment@pearson.com. This is an automatically generated email, so you don’t need to reply to it. |

The initial moderator reports you’ll receive following the moderation of PSAs completed in December will be available to download directly from Edexcel Online.
As soon as your initial moderator report is ready to download, a notification email will be sent to you and your centre exams staff. You'll then be able to download the report from Edexcel Online and forward to anyone who needs to review it.
You'll notice a more uniform structure used across all subjects, a glossary of terms to make reports easier to understand, and a guidance video that will help you put the feedback into practice.
To access the moderator reports you will need ‘Results’ ticked in your user account profile on Edexcel Online – your Exams Officer can do this for you.

Your cohort declaration is now open for you to complete by 31 January in the VQ Learner Tracker.

This important work means that we will then have a shared view of all your students who are expecting a qualification result on August results days.
We’re asking QNs to check with your exams officers that the required checks have been made in the VQ Learner Tracker.

A reminder that, due to GDPR safeguards, we are no longer asking for email addresses as e-signatures on any internal assessment documentation, either from centre staff or students. Instead, the signature can be simply typed or scanned into the document. You can find specific reference to this change this year in the Centre Guide to Internal Assessment, page 13. |
