PROJECT UPDATE
Taylors Ferry Reservoirs and Site Seismic Improvement Project: January 2026 |
Dear Valued Customers and Community Members,
We’re pleased to share the January project update of the Taylors Ferry Reservoirs and Site Seismic Improvement Project.
When complete in fall 2026, the two new reservoirs, pump station, and pipelines at the Taylors Ferry site will operate together with the Florence Lane and Garden Home reservoirs. This integrated system will store and deliver drinking water to TVWD customers in the Metzger area using supply from the Willamette Water Supply System, sourced from the Willamette River near Wilsonville.
January 2026 Progress Updates
Construction continues both onsite and offsite:
Onsite pipeline work will:
- Allow the two new reservoirs to fill, drain, and operate properly
- Connect the reservoirs to the water system
- Connect the reservoirs to the future pump station
- Connect the new pump station to the water system
Offsite pipeline work includes:
- Installing three new 12-inch water pipelines
- Installing one new 12-inch stormwater pipeline
- Installing one new 8-inch sanitary sewer connection
Work locations:
- TVWD’s Taylors Ferry property
- 6500 block of SW Florence Lane, under the south side of the roadway between homes at 6531 and 6536 SW Florence Lane
- Public right-of-way northwest of TVWD’s Taylors Ferry property
See photos and video below.
What’s Next
- Pipeline installation is on track for completion in the first quarter of 2026.
- In February 2026, the new reservoirs will be connected, cleaned, filled, leak-tested, and brought online to serve Metzger customers.
- In March 2026, the existing steel reservoir will be disconnected and demolished to make room for the new pump station and equipment storage.

Tree roots around existing pipes are being carefully removed to prevent damage to pipelines and avoid service interruptions. |

Crews use a vactor before pouring a concrete straddle block around a 10-inch water pipeline. The straddle block stabilizes the pipeline and allows crews to replace it with 12-inch pipeline components. |

|
The existing steel reservoir on the north side of the site will be demolished in March 2026. The reservoir has been online throughout the project serving water to customers. |
