Dear Colleague
Supporting you during this period
This is a challenging time across our region. As many schools manage closures and focus on the safety of their staff and students, we’re here to support you during the release of student results this week, and to provide you with further updates as we plan for the May/June exam series.
Student results: hard copy and via Edexcel Online
If you were expecting to receive hard copy results for your students, these will likely be delayed. But you can still access your students’ results via Edexcel Online on Wednesday 4 March and email these out to students at the normal release time of 08:00am GMT on Thursday 5 March.
Please take a look at our
support article that provides information on how to access your results on Edexcel Online.
We recommend you login to Edexcel Online ahead of 4 March to ensure you can access the system and are ready to receive results. Please see our support article
here.
If you are not able to be in your centre to receive results, and find you cannot access Edexcel Online, please get in touch via our
support portal and we will help you find a solution.
What happens next?
You will of course be thinking ahead to the entry deadline of 21 March, moderation visits, submission of non-examined assessments, and the May/June exam series.
- Exam entries
Please continue to make your qualification exam entries as normal. If you are concerned that the current situation may impact your ability to submit your entries for the 21 March deadline, please do get in touch via your Regional Development Manager or our customer support teams.
- Non-examined assessments
For some qualifications, we are now moving into the period when departments come together to mark and standardise non‑examined assessments and to conduct speaking exams. If current centre closures mean you may struggle to complete these activities by the published deadlines, please contact your Regional Development Manager or our customer support teams as soon as possible
- Moderation visits
Due to the current situation, some planned visiting moderations may be affected. We’re reviewing all upcoming visits, and if we need to move any online, we’ll let you know as soon as possible so you have time to prepare.
Looking ahead
We’ll be in regular contact to ensure you are fully supported for the upcoming May/June exam period. We’ll also provide timely updates should there be the requirement for any alternative arrangements to established processes, including question paper dispatch and the use of visiting examiners.
We have long-standing, tried-and-tested contingency processes to support schools through any exam disruption, and our priority will always be to support student progression through their courses, and ultimately to the grade they deserve.
If there’s anything you need, or if you have concerns about upcoming activity, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, either via your local Regional Development Manager, or our
customer support portal .
With best wishes
