Surveying Work in Your Neighborhood for Future Water Infrastructure Project

Week of March 16, 2026
Weekdays Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Dear Valued Customer,

During the week of March 16, 2026, surveyors working with Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) – your drinking water provider – will be in your neighborhood on SW Suncrest Lane, between SW Inglis Drive and SW 190th Avenue, collecting important information to plan a future water infrastructure project.

What the Surveyors Will Be Doing
Surveyors will be working in the public right-of-way (ROW) on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. For water utilities, the ROW is the area along streets where public water pipes, fire hydrants, and other infrastructure are located. In your neighborhood, this includes the roadside or grassy areas along the street, since there are no sidewalks.

While in the ROW, surveyors will:
  • Identify existing water infrastructure and plan future improvements.
  • Place temporary markings, including flags, stakes, spray paint, or other markers, to indicate locations.
No action is needed from you at this time.
  • Locators will not enter private property.
  • There will be no digging or permanent changes to your home, yard, or driveway.
  • Surveyors will use the least amount of paint or markers necessary to complete the work.
What’s Next
The information gathered will help TVWD design a future water infrastructure project. Once the design is complete and construction is scheduled, we will share more details about what to expect and how to stay updated.

More about the Future Project
TVWD is in the early stages of designing a project to replace the 6-inch ductile iron water main under SW Suncrest Lane, between SW Inglis Drive and SW 190th Avenue.

This project replaces a previous plan to upgrade a water pressure regulator vault and its associated water main on SW Inglis Drive. After further review, TVWD determined that replacing the water main along SW Suncrest Lane will address more pressing infrastructure needs, improve overall water system reliability, and provide greater long-term benefits for customers in the area.
