Achievement District Test Coordinator Updates
March 16, 2026
Achievement District Test Coordinators (DTCs),

The AzSCI test window is now open. All students in Grades 5, 8, and the 11th grade cohort will take three AzSCI test units. Each student will have one AzSCI testing ticket. The same testing ticket will be used to access all three AzSCI test units. A significant break of at least 15 minutes must be provided between test units. Students must receive a valid score on each test unit to receive an AzSCI score. To receive a score, students must respond to at least one question in each test unit. The AzSCI test window will close on April 10, 2026. Per Arizona state policy, test windows will not be extended.

AASA and AzSCI Testing Groups
Testing groups can be used to group students by classroom, teacher, or testing days. Test sessions should not be created for AASA or AzSCI in lieu of Testing Groups.

AASA, AzSCI, and ACT Aspire Work Requests
DTCs should be checking daily for work requests (student transfers) that are waiting for approval in PearsonAccess Next (PAN). Look for the red bell at the top of the screen in PAN. A red bell indicates that you have a work request waiting for approval, and another district is waiting to test the student.

Work requests are only approved or rejected by the DTC. ADE will not be automatically approving or rejecting work requests. If assistance is needed, if a student is at the school and ready to test, or if a work request has been pending for a while, please contact us. For students who are concurrently enrolled in more than one school, the two schools need to work together to determine where the student will test.

Use the following guidelines for approving or rejecting work requests.
  • If a student has not started testing, approve the transfer request.
  • If a student has completed one or more test units, but has not completed the entire test, approve the transfer request.
  • If a student has completed all test units of the assessment, reject the transfer request and indicate in the comments field, "Student has already completed testing."
AzLMS Access
If there are issues with staff accessing the AzLMS to complete training modules, please direct all questions to Pearson at 888-705-9421, option 1 for AzSCI or option 3 for AASA. If Pearson is unable to assist, you may email ADE's Achievement Assessments team for assistance at AASA@azed.gov, AzSCI@azed.gov, or Testing@azed.gov.
Achievement Assessments Office Hours

The Achievement Assessments team will be holding an optional AASA office hours session this week. If you have questions about AASA, please register to attend this session using the link provided below. A Teams meeting invitation will be sent to all registered attendees prior to the session.

March 18, 2026, 1:00-1:30pm - AASA Administration
ACT Aspire

Online test sessions for ACT Aspire must be created in PearsonAccess Next. The sessions are not created automatically when students are uploaded. Each content area of the test will require a separate session and a separate testing ticket. Accommodations must be marked in a student's Personal Needs Profile (PNP) in PearsonAccess Next, as applicable, prior to moving the student into test sessions. The ACT Aspire PNP and Test Information Import function can be used to add students to test sessions in bulk.

ACT Aspire Chat with an Expert

Pearson has scheduled an ACT Aspire Chat with an Expert session to answer test coordinator questions related to ACT Aspire. If you have ACT Aspire questions, please join using the Teams meeting link below. Registration is not required.

ACT Reminders

Test Window 1 - begins March 24, 2026
For issues during ACT testing, contact ACT at 319-337-1567. This is an Arizona-specific number, and any technical issues or concerns that occur during testing will be prioritized.
  • Paper (Standard) - March 24, 2026
  • Paper (Accommodations) - March 24-27, March 30-April 3, 2026
  • Online (Standard and Accommodations) - March 24-27, March 30-April 3, 2026
Schools administering ACT in Test Window 1 may also use Test Window 2 to complete makeup testing, as needed. Paper-based testing schools are also permitted to administer online makeup tests for ACT only.

Any students with ACT-approved accommodations for testing over multiple days must complete testing within the same test window in which they begin testing.

Accommodations and Supports Roster
Use the Accommodations and Supports Roster in PearsonAccess Next to verify that all students with ACT-approved accommodations have their TAA PIN applied to their profile in PearsonAccess Next. To run this report, go to Reports > Operational Reports > Students & Registrations > Accommodations and Supports Roster.

ACT State Use Questions
Arizona will not have state questions on the ACT this year. The "State Questions" screen is mentioned on page 76 of the ACT Online Testing Administration Manual. When students see the "State Questions" screen ahead of the online ACT test, they can skip to the next step.

Test Window 2
Materials for Test Window 2 will be delivered to districts March 16-19 or March 23-26. The Additional Order window for Test Window 2 will be open March 24-27. Test sessions for Test Window 2 can be created in PearsonAccess Next beginning April 1.

My ACT
Refer to the ACT website for information about students completing MyACT. Resources are included under Step 4: Preparation, under the heading "Complete Non-Test Activities." Students may complete the non-test information in MyACT before testing and up to two days after completing testing. This may be completed on a separate day from actual testing. Students who set up a MyACT account will have the opportunity to send their ACT scores to up to four colleges or scholarship agencies for free and will receive their test results faster than waiting for paper score reports to be delivered to schools. ACT encourages schools to set aside time for students to complete MyACT non-test information at school during a classroom session.

The "Student Code Usage Status" report in PearsonAccess Next will display which students have used their student code to access the non-test information in MyACT. To access the report, go to Reports > Published Reports. Data in this report is refreshed daily.
