Welcome Matthew, to the April edition of The Liberty Pole, Project Appleseed’s monthly newsletter.
It's finally April !!! We're excited to continue our Five-year series of Patriots' Day patches and shirts entitled "We Are Descended from Dangerous Men." This year we honor Prince Estabrook. Remember, the only way to get one is to attend any Project Appleseed marksmanship clinic in April. Back by popular demand, the Red White and Blue AQT targets have returned for April 2026.
There's exciting news on the Marksmanship Challenge. In South Carolina, we officially have our first winner of the Tippmann Appleseed Edition M4-22 Pro, generously provided by our friends at Waco Tactical Fitness - Huzzah !!!
History this month covers The Halifax Resolves, we're highlighting an event in Texas, and more. As always, thank you for reading.

We Are Decended From
Dangererous Men:
Prince Estabrook |
|
|
Come hear the story of Prince Estabrook at one of our April 19th Patriot's Day events. He stood with Captain John Parker on Lexington Green and served through the rest of the Revolutionary War. This patch and tee-shirt continue our 5-year series "We Are Descended From Dangerous Men." Previous years honored John Parker, Prudence Wright, and William Heath. |
|
|
This month, we feature a 25M Rifle Clinic held in College Station, Texas on March 7-8, 2026. Below are some words from the Shoot Boss, Sir Not Appearing In This Film:
"Rain arrived soon after lunch. Once I saw lighting we adjourned to the classroom area porch. We used the rain down time for more history and used a dummy rifle to instruct our shooters on sling use and positions individually."

April's History:
The April 1776 Halifax Resolves |
This month, AH1Tom tells the story of the Halifax Resolves. These were adopted by the Fourth Provincial Congress of the Province of North Carolina on April 12, 1776.
"As the first official action by any colony authorizing its delegates to vote for independence, the Halifax Resolves marked a decisive turning point in the revolutionary movement. They reflected the colony's growing radicalism, contributed directly to the momentum for independence within the Continental Congress, and represented the broader ideological shift taking place across the colonies ..."

The Halifax Resolves are posted in Raleigh, NC. This photo is in the public domain. |

A Ladyseed encourages more women to enjoy the excitement of rifle marksmanship. Ladyseeds are fun and empowering 25M rifle clinics designed specifically for women and girls of all experience levels. Within this enjoyable and encouraging environment, you will receive personalized instruction on firearm safety, proper shooting techniques, and aiming accuracy from our very knowledgeable instructors. You’ll build confidence, develop new skills, and forge lifelong friendships.
The women and girls who attend a Ladyseed event will learn much more than how to fire a rifle. They will also learn American history and how women actively aided in the fight for America’s freedom. Hear the stories of these brave women and girls who participated as spies, provided healthcare, prepared their men for war, and protected their homes. When you attend a Ladyseed, it’s our hope that you’ll leave with new friends, a renewed sense of country, and an enhanced sense of civic responsibility. |

We accept and are appreciative of all donations. Of course, the thing valued above all is TIME. Volunteers; those that can give up their time and help us out, in whatever capacity it may be, are what this program runs on. |
