Stage 1: April to June
Starting the week of April 27, crews begin installing new utilities and constructing a paving stone alley north of the park, linking 106 Street and 107 Street. Work includes a new pedestrian walkway along the east side of 106 Street, south of 102 Avenue and features low-impact development soil cells, decorative lighting, trees and planters.
Traffic and access impacts
- 106 Street will be closed from south of 102 Avenue to the alley north of Jasper Avenue.
- The parking lot on the east side of 106 Street will remain open.
Stage 2: June to July
Crews begin work on the north side of 107 Street between O-day’min Park and 102 Avenue. This phase includes new sidewalks, roadway improvements and streetscape features such as decorative lighting, trees and planters.
Stage 3: Following completion of Stage 2
Stage three will begin after stage two is completed. Crews install paving stones in the alley north of O-day’min Park, between Khazana Restaurant and the Alberta Craft Council building, south of 102 Avenue. This work will be completed by the end of July.
Stage 4: July to August
After completing stage 3, crews install paving stones in the alley along the park’s southern border, connecting 106 Street and 107 Street. Work continues on 107 Street.
Stage 5: September to October
Construction is complete on 107 Street. Work continues in the southern alley, with additional installation of paving stones between 106 Street and 107 Street.
Stage 6: 2027 (timing to be confirmed)
Future work along 106 Street, between Jasper Avenue and the centre of park, includes the installation of low-impact development soil cells, new sidewalks and streetscape features like decorative lighting and landscaping.
