City’s popular forest bathing program returns May 14 |
May 6, 2026
The City is launching the second season of its popular forest bathing program, with weekly sessions starting May 14. Residents are invited to enhance their wellness through a guided sensory experience that fosters a mindful connection with the urban forest while learning about Edmonton’s natural spaces.
Forest bathing, also known as forest therapy or Shinrin-yoku, is the practice of spending time in a forest or natural setting to foster relaxation and deepen your connection to the environment. Certified guides from the City’s Community Forestry team lead participants through the activity in city parks, which includes silent meditation, exploratory walking and group or individual reflections.
Free guided sessions are available weekly throughout the summer. Registration opens May 6 and tickets can be booked on MoveLearnPlay. Last year sessions filled up quickly, act now to secure your spot. For information on scheduling and booking, visit edmonton.ca/ForestBathing. |
