Applications now open for Camp Inspire 2026
June 2, 2026

Women and gender-diverse individuals looking to explore a challenging and rewarding career in the fire service are invited to apply for the fifth annual Camp Inspire.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, in partnership with
Fire Services Women Central Provinces and regional fire departments from Leduc, Morinville, St. Albert, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Strathcona County and Sturgeon County, will host the free, three-day camp in Edmonton from September 11 to 13, 2026.

Camp Inspire offers an introductory, hands-on opportunity for participants aged 18 and older to experience what it takes to join the fire service. Under the guidance of professional firefighters, attendees will take part in controlled training exercises, learn about various career pathways into firefighting and connect with peers sharing similar aspirations.

Applications are being accepted online throughout the month of June. No prior fire service experience is required.
