Dear Valued Customer,
On Thursday, June 25, 2026, for four hours between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., the water service to your home will be temporarily turned off. During this time, no water will be available for use from your faucets, showers, toilets, or appliances that use water, like dishwashers and washing machines.
This shutoff will allow the contractor working for Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD), your drinking water provider, to connect the newly installed water main to the live water system near SW Todd Street and SW Devonwood Avenue.

What to Expect
- Temporary water service shut off
- No water for use from faucets, showers, toilets, or water-using appliances
- Access to your home will be maintained, with possible short driveway delays
- Noise, dust, and vibrations during work
- Traffic control in and around the work area
- Large equipment (such as excavators) nearby
- Limited parking near the work area
- Possible impacts to bike and foot travel
- Mail, deliveries, and garbage service will continue as usual
How to Prepare
Before the Shutoff:
- Fill clean containers with 3 to 5 gallons of tap water for drinking, cooking, and flushing toilets
- Store extra water if you have a larger household or business needs
During the Shutoff:
- Keep all faucets and water-using appliances turned off
After the Shutoff:
- Turn on a faucet to check if water service has returned
- If no water comes out, turn it off, wait 15 minutes, and try again
- Once water returns, run cold water for about 2 minutes to clear your pipes
Project Information
This work is part of the Todd St. and Linda Ln. Water Main Replacement Project. The project is scheduled to be finished in July 2026, weather permitting. Permit paving of excavated areas will occur later in 2026. The schedule may change. Please visit the project webpage for the latest updates. |
