Green Shack Programs provide kids with games, sports, crafts and music this summer |

Children are invited to get active and join City Green Shack Leaders this summer for games, sports, crafts, music, drama and special events! The free drop-in program is designed for children ages six to 12, but children of all ages are welcome. Children under six years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note, this program is not a childcare service. |

The 2026 Green Shacks program runs from June 29 to August 21. Each weekday, program leaders will host games, challenges and activities to help kids stay active and have fun. A list of activities and special events will be posted weekly on each Green Shack.
Details
- Green Shack locations operate half-days, either from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 2 to 5 p.m.
- Full-day hours are available at some sites and run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Check the Green Shack locations map for hours and status updates.
- Programming is available rain or shine, but may be cancelled during severe weather.
- Program leaders can be identified by their blue shirts and could be assisted by volunteer leaders.
