Kimberly’s Story of Transformation |
At Radical Missions, we focus on sustainable, holistic solutions that empower people to rise above poverty with dignity. One program that beautifully illustrates this approach is the Sewing Program led by my wife, Patty. |
Kimberly’s Story of Transformation: Kimberly, a former student from a very poor family in Patzún, joined the program simply looking for a way to help support her family. She only came to the first class out of curiosity—she had never seen a sewing machine before. In just six months, the skills and confidence she gained changed everything. With that minimal training, she launched her own small sewing business and today creates and sells beautiful handmade items using the very techniques she learned in our classes. Her story shows how even a short time in the program can plant seeds of lasting independence, dignity, and hope. |
|
Through the Sewing Program, women like Kimberly are learning practical, marketable sewing skills and producing high-quality, culturally inspired products such as traditional Mayan dolls, cosmetic bags, interchangeable watch straps, JavaSweater's, cozies, and more. We are excited to share that Radical Missions has partnered with Threads of Redemption to help sell these beautiful handmade goods. This partnership allows us to get more money directly into the hands of the women who make them. Your faithful support has helped provide the materials, machines, and training that make these stories possible. |
|
We are now reaching out for your continued partnership in two meaningful ways: First, through financial gifts to expand the Sewing Program. These funds will allow us to welcome more women, supply additional materials, buy more sewing machines, and deepen the training offered. Second, by purchasing the handmade items created by the ladies through our partnership with Threads of Redemption. Every purchase provides immediate income to the women and helps make the program more self-sustaining. |
Would you please prayerfully consider supporting this work again—either through a special donation or by purchasing some of these beautiful handmade creations? We are incredibly grateful for your partnership in this ministry. Your generosity is helping women move from dependence to dignity, one skill at a time. |
As always, your prayer is much appreciated. Thank you again for your past support. Please prayerfully consider making a donation of any amount towards our ministry.
