Supporting our colleagues in the Middle East
We know many centres are experiencing disruption due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to stay informed.
Exams are cancelled in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. Centres should follow the process outlined by Pearson for exams in these countries.
Our support page brings together the latest updates and guidance to help you navigate upcoming teaching, learning and assessment activity.
We’ll continue to contact you directly if anything changes that affects your centre, but you can always check back here for the most up-to-date information.

Senior designated contact |
Over the summer, we may need to contact your centre urgently about results.
To help us reach the right people quickly, please tell us who your senior designated contacts are. This helps us resolve any issues straight away and protect your students’ results.
Please ensure you have completed this activity. |

We’re going to send an EDI file to centres who use A2C via their inbox this week to check the Pearson A2C connection ahead of the summer results days.
This file will have the naming convention R*your centre number*14.X99 and will contain this message:
"This is a test file to ensure you can receive EDI files from Pearson ahead of results day. As you can see this message you do not need to take any action."

Help us improve the exam experience for your students |
To enable us to improve the experience of teachers using our qualifications and students sitting our exams, we gather feedback after each exam series. If you're a teacher, and your students have taken any of our GCSE, International GCSE, A level or International A level exams in the May/June 2026 series, or studied for any of our BTEC qualifications, we're eager to hear your thoughts. |

Keep your registrations on track |
|
|
To make sure everything runs seamlessly for your learners, take a moment to double‑check that all registrations are correct and learner details are accurate. If something needs updating, don’t wait, as quick action now prevents delays later. |
|
|
Here’s what to do:
Transfers: move learners to the right programme or centre before certification to keep progress on track. Read more about making transfers.
Withdrawals and deletions: remove learners who won’t continue. Remember: deletions within 90 days (or 49 days for Higher Nationals) qualify for a refund if no units have been claimed.
Read more about making deletions and withdrawals. |

Quality assurance and assessment updates |
International standards verification for 2025–26 is now well underway.
If you need to check your ISV allocation, you can in a few simple steps. Once you’re logged into Edexcel Online:
- Select BTEC & Functional Skills from the qualification drop-down
- Go to Quality Assurance → External Verification → International Allocations
You’ll see which programmes have been allocated to an ISV, and which are still waiting for allocation.
What should happen before sampling?
Your allocated ISV will contact you and together, you’ll:
- Confirm whether verification will take place remotely or in person
- Agree a sampling date that works for you
- Review any action points from your previous visit
- Confirm the programmes allocated and whether certification can be released
