Capital Line LRT between Churchill and Clareview Stations closed July 11 and 12
July 7, 2026

From July 10 to 13, Capital Line LRT service will be disrupted between Churchill and Clareview Stations to accommodate the safe installation of a new track crossing north of 115 Avenue.

The Capital Line LRT will be closed between Churchill and Clareview stations for the entirety of service on July 11 and 12. LRT replacement buses will run between Churchill and Clareview stations on both days. Buses will run every seven to eight minutes until 7 p.m. and every 10 minutes from 7 p.m. until the end of service. Locations of all LRT replacement bus stops are listed at
edmonton.ca/TransitAlerts.

On Friday, July 10 from 8 p.m. until the end of service, and for the entirety of service on Monday, July 13, Capital Line trains will be running on a single track between Churchill and Clareview stations. Riders may experience minor delays. Regular Capital Line service will resume at the start of service on July 14.

The Metro and Valley Lines are not affected by this work. During the closure, Metro Line trains will be extended to Century Park station instead of turning around at Health Sciences/Jubilee station.

In addition to this work, there will be changes to Valley Line Southeast service north of Strathearn stop on July 11 and 12 due to construction south of Quarters Stop to support the installation of underground cellular service. From 7:30 p.m. on July 11 until end of service on July 12, a dedicated shuttle train will operate every 30 minutes between Strathearn and 102 Street.

Regular service will remain in place between Mill Woods and Strathearn stops.
