Dear Valued Customer,
From Sunday, July 26, through Friday, July 31, Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD) will close a section of northbound SW 185th Avenue between SW Tualatin Valley Highway and SW Alexander Street each night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
During these overnight closures, TVWD will:
- Connect the new water main- which will be installed beneath SW Alton Street - to the existing water system.
- Disconnect the old water main.
- Repave the section of SW 185th Avenue affected by water main construction.
TVWD will work overnight to reduce impacts on daytime traffic and nearby businesses while completing important water system improvements safely and efficiently.
This work is part of TVWD’s Alton Street Water Main Replacement Project, which will install more than 500 feet of new 8-inch water main under SW Alton Street. The project will improve water reliability, increase water flow and pressure, and enhance fire protection for the surrounding area.
