Dear Valued Customer,
On Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., a contractor is scheduled to pave a curb, sidewalk section, and manhole on SW Orchid Street near SW Caiden Terrace.
Paving will not impact your water service or home or driveway access. No action is needed on your part.
What to Expect
- The eastbound lane of SW Orchid Street between SW Caiden Terrace and SW 67th Avenue will be closed to traffic. Eastbound traffic will be directed to use the westbound lane to travel around the work area between SW Caiden Terrace and SW 67th Avenue.
- Expect short delays and use caution when traveling through the area.
- Increased construction activity.
- Noise, dust, and vibration.
- Full access to driveways and homes.
- Emergency access will be maintained.
Project Information
Once the new Taylors Ferry pump station is operational, the pressure reducing valve installed in the underground vault at SW Orchid Street and SW Caiden Terrace will help regulate water pressure north of SW Orchid Street. This will bring pressure to a safer level, helping protect home plumbing and improving overall system reliability.
