Dear Friends,

The theme for the upcoming Catechetical Conference is Back to the Well: Rediscovering Our Call to Serve. As you prepare for another ministry year, you may be filled with excitement, or possibly, much weariness.  Like the Samaritan woman at the well, we come to the Lord with our own hopes, questions, and thirst. What we know from this scripture passage is that Jesus intentionally seeks her out, not to shame her, but to encounter her. He listens, reveals Himself, and offers her the Living Water that transforms her heart.

As parish catechetical leaders, we are called to follow that same example. Before we plan events or prepare lessons, we are first invited to return to Christ ourselves. Ministry flows not from what we accomplish, but from our own encounter with the One who satisfies our deepest thirst.

The Samaritan woman did not keep this encounter to herself. She returned to her village and invited others to come and meet Jesus. Our ministry is no different. We are called not only to be renewed ourselves but to invite others into that same encounter.

We hope you will join us at this year's Catechetical Conference as we gather to return to the well together. We also encourage you to invite your volunteer catechists and core team members to attend on Saturday. Together, let us be refreshed by Christ, strengthened for the year ahead, and sent forth to lead others to the Living Water.

In Christ,
Anh
