Dear Valued Customer,
Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD), your drinking water provider, has completed a $1,456,000 project to improve the water system serving your neighborhood.
The project included:
- Replacing about 1,900 feet of aging 8-inch ductile-iron water main with new 4-inch or 8-inch ductile-iron water main under SW 184th Avenue, SW Lapaz Court, and SW Burns Ridge Court.
- Installing concrete supports that help keep sections of the water main from shifting under pressure at the corner of SW Monte Verdi Boulevard and SW 184th Avenue and SW Barcelona Way.
- Installing new hydrants or replacing existing ones at the corner of 18460 and 18350 SW Almonte Ct., near 6936 SW 184th Ave., SW 185th Avenue, and SW Monte Verdi Boulevard, 7008 SW 184th Ave., and 7106 SW 184th Pl.
To close out the work, Washington County inspected and approved the paving and restoration to make sure everything meets their roadway and public works standards.

The previous mains in the neighborhood were installed in the mid to late 1970s and experienced multiple breaks in recent years.
