Dear Valued Customer,
Tualatin Valley Water District (TVWD), your drinking water provider, has installed a new 1-inch water pressure reducing valve (PRV) behind your water meter. Crews are now working to complete backfill and restoration to the excavated areas impacted during installation.
We will notify you when your home has been moved to the higher water pressure zone.
ABOUT THE WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
In early August 2026, TVWD began a water system improvement project on SW Suncrest Lane and SW Inglis Drive. The project will improve the long-term reliability of your neighborhood's water service.
After the water main project is complete in mid-September 2026, your home will be one of five homes moving from a lower water pressure zone to a higher water pressure zone.
ABOUT YOUR NEW PRV
Because your home will receive higher water pressure, TVWD installed a new PRV behind your water meter. The PRV reduces the water pressure entering your home's plumbing to a safe level.
The new PRV is covered by a one-year warranty. After the warranty period, the PRV will become part of your private plumbing system, and you will be responsible for its maintenance.
After the project is complete, if you would like higher or lower water pressure inside your home, you can hire a licensed plumber to adjust the PRV.
