Shop Local campaign celebrates local businesses with the best deals in town
September 2, 2026

The City’s Shop Local campaign is back! Edmontonians are invited to support local businesses and take advantage of exclusive deals through the
Shop Local Deals Directory.

Shopping locally goes beyond making a purchase. It creates a positive ripple effect throughout Edmonton’s local business community and directly supports the people and places that make our city unique.
Celebrate the launch of this year's Shop Local campaign by joining the City for a launch party at Bountiful Farmers’ Market. Drop by the City’s booth to celebrate local businesses, learn more about Shop Local and pick up a coupon for a free treat from Little Bear Gelato or No Sugar No Problem, while supplies last.

Event details:
Date: Friday, September 4
Time: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Bountiful Farmers’ Market

With over 29,894 businesses calling Edmonton home, and 97 per cent being small businesses, finding opportunities to shop local is easy. Choosing to shop local strengthens our communities and supports the local entrepreneurs who help Edmonton thrive. For every $100 spent at a small business, $66 stays in the local economy.
